3.0 out of 5 stars This was an easy read that I did within a day

This was an easy read that I did within a day. It was the compilation of 3 different stories involving a mother, her sister, and her daughter and their experiences when they meet the werewolves who they discover are their fated mates. There's some apprehension by the women since they start out as humans and are unsure whether they should trust their hearts and lives to these males of the Winter Valley Pack. They've all been burned, except for Trixie who was bitten years previous one night, and she's been experiencing some interesting side effects each spring ever since.

They are delightful little stories that had me smiling. If I had on criticism, I'd have to say the speed in which these couples "fell in love" was a bit more than I would have believed. There was an attraction between the werewolves and the women that was undeniable, but I was rather surprised that none of them put up much of a fight when it came to the "love" question. I, personally, would have been more suspicious of the guys' declarations of undying love and devotion so quickly when the initial attraction was because of a mate attraction. Maybe that's just me, but it made things a bit unrealistic even for a fantasy world. There's quite a chasm between physical attraction and love that I think was crossed a bit too easily.

That being said, I liked the world building the author did. The story took place somewhere I would have loved to live and seemed beautiful and peaceful. The pack mindset was well written, and I thought it was sweet how the men pursued the women. The backstories of the women were well done. And the sadness in the alpha's backstory was heartbreaking. I was glad to see each of them all reach a happily ever after however it came about.

Sweet and short. I loved the Alpha males. The storyline in all three books are fast paced. It makes for fun reading. First story is Trixie and Parker. She was bitten by him as a teen and didn't know she was a werewolf. They met up again and realised they were true mates. Happily married with two baby boys
Next is her mother Caroline who falls for the Alpha of the pack. He lost his true mate, but they are giving it a go. What a fast romance. They are the King and Queen of the Winter Valley Pack
Caroline has a sister Sophie. Her ex cheated on her and she is burned. She moved into her sister's town to become the Wedding Planner of the valley.
She has a sexy neighbour, who is the Beta for the pack. They are True Mates. Attraction is instant, but she is weary. Especially now that her ex wants her back. Thankfully Sophie mated the Beta Warren and they are pregnant. The Quinn women gets a HEA

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a wonderful book of the 3 Quinn women and their mates.

With this book having 3 stories that just continues the story but with a different woman and her mate. Trixie didn't really want to be with a guy let alone to be mated and start having kids. But she felt the pull of fate. Just like her mom Caroline and aunt Sophie. Each one had been hurt by a man somehow. I just wish that each story could be a little longer. But I always want more of each story that I read. This is a wonderful book of the 3 Quinn women and their mates. I love Vaughn's books and recommend them to anyone looking for a book to read.

All three books need a good editing. But I don't read as an English teacher, I read for the enjoyment of the story. I enjoyed the stories. First two more than the last, which felt almost forced. They were quick reads, which I liked as well no extra words or scenes to make the book longer.

Very smooth afternoon read. No violence just were endearing ROMANCE. Wouldn't it be great to find "the one" without the hassle of drama and heartbreak? The search would seem endless as portrayed in markings but the loneliness wouldn't be experienced. Enjoyed this laid back easy read.

Cute books with good writing and good story lines. A series of three in this one book which was nice to see all of them tie into each other. Mostly from the female perspective and a few wolf moments. Fun quick read for a lazy weekend when you need a HEA. Happy reading.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a fan - too predictable

I found this very simplistic and predictable/ Trixie was bitten by a wolf years ago and has no idea she is a werewolf and it's the reason she has such hot flushes. Turns out Parker is her True Mate. She doesn't like him because he is the local player. Once he gets near her he realises what she is to him and swears off other women. Suddenly they are in love and married. The story moves on to Caroline, Trixie's mother, writer of erotic books. Paul is the leader of the wolf pack and Trixie introduces him to her mother. Paul is a widower and does not feel ready to move on. A year goes by (very quickly) and now he decides he's ready to claim Caroline so they can have children. His first wife was his True Mate and you can only have one in a lifetime but Caroline is his True Love. Of course they can't resist each other. Then we have Sophie, Caroline's sister. She moves to the area to be with her sister and niece after her divorce. Warren, beta wolf, is her True Mate but he runs off as soon as they meet. It is quite funny when he keeps overhearing her say the most ridiculous things but overuse of 'finagled' got on my nerves - it was only funny the first time she suggested Warren be finagled out of his shirt.

I downloaded this because it was free and a good way to try out an author I had never read before. All I can say is that I would have been really cross if I had actually paid for this. No real plot to any of the 3 stories. No depth of character to anyone. And it's as though the author herself can't be bothered to put any effort into the books.
In the first one we have a young lady who was bitten by a wolf. 5 years later her mother informs her that she has been doing research and discovered that she is therefore now a werewolf. Does daughter get hysterical or go into denial or behave in a realistic manner? No. She basically shrugs her shoulders and says oh - okay then.
I know this is fiction but it still has to be believable.
Did I read all 3 stories - yes. That is why I didn't only give one star. Would I read any more by this author - most definitely not.

I have to say I love these stories, quick romances that guarantee a HEA. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I love the idea of true mates and the insta love thing. These three stories are about the Quinn women and the shifter men that love them. If you love shifter romance then I highly recommend these box sets. Amazing area, great characters, nice writing, some angst, and some really hot sex.
