This was an easy read that I did within a day. It was the compilation of 3 different stories involving a mother, her sister, and her daughter and their experiences when they meet the werewolves who they discover are their fated mates. There's some apprehension by the women since they start out as humans and are unsure whether they should trust their hearts and lives to these males of the Winter Valley Pack. They've all been burned, except for Trixie who was bitten years previous one night, and she's been experiencing some interesting side effects each spring ever since.
They are delightful little stories that had me smiling. If I had on criticism, I'd have to say the speed in which these couples "fell in love" was a bit more than I would have believed. There was an attraction between the werewolves and the women that was undeniable, but I was rather surprised that none of them put up much of a fight when it came to the "love" question. I, personally, would have been more suspicious of the guys' declarations of undying love and devotion so quickly when the initial attraction was because of a mate attraction. Maybe that's just me, but it made things a bit unrealistic even for a fantasy world. There's quite a chasm between physical attraction and love that I think was crossed a bit too easily.
That being said, I liked the world building the author did. The story took place somewhere I would have loved to live and seemed beautiful and peaceful. The pack mindset was well written, and I thought it was sweet how the men pursued the women. The backstories of the women were well done. And the sadness in the alpha's backstory was heartbreaking. I was glad to see each of them all reach a happily ever after however it came about.
