I saw and loved the movie and knew there was a lot more in Frank's life that wasn't included. When I realized the movie was based on the book, it was a must read for me. Received the book, opened the package and proceeded to spend the next 3 hrs reading it. I finished the next day and was inspired. Through all kinds of hardship, Frank's ability to find the good and the positive in just about everything was heartening. I finished the book with my spirits lifted.

The story of Franks life & legacy is profound. Not only the pain, but how the pain turned to purpose, and every experience had impact.

How everything interweaves from one experience to another including his childhood, service, travels, marriage, children, career, and near death experience.

How Chris happened and the desire to make a difference. His vision from the start for Make a Wish to be national and international.

Most importantly how love is at the fabric at every step and the humility and awe of it all.

I am very grateful I came across Wish Man on Netflix which led me to this book. As I always say, the book and authors own words are far more powerful than most motion pictures.

While I found the movie moving, the book is far more accurate and deeper and will have you bawling countless times.

I feel deeply grateful for the time Frank took to write this book and all the times following his heart. Like countless others, I am inspired from within and to action on my own path of purpose.

Get this book now. Now, more than ever we all need to create, transform & inspire.

Beautiful story

A beautiful story about the life of the man who started the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Coming from humble beginnings, Frank Shankwitz gave much through his actions and commitments to the happiness of terminally ill children. The heart of this former police officer and Air Force veteran is overflowing with love. He recently passed away. I wish I got to shake his hand; the hand of an angel.
