To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

3.0 out of 5 stars I have to be honest

I did not finish the book. I tried because I paid for it. I saw all the positive reviews and bought it even though I have KU. I got to 80% and finally said I’m done. I really enjoyed the first book. Love the author’s wit and humor. There were holes in the storyline but I really felt that the second book would be better in that regard.

I was wrong.

The problem with this book is she started off just telling the reader things instead of showing us in dialogue or scenes with the other characters. Who her dad was seemed to me, to be a big deal and the FMC literally just blurts it out in passing like oh yeah my mom told me this and told me that, etc. It’s as if the important things with the storyline are too much to flush out but then she describes all these other scenes that really were, in my opinion, unimportant. Like her becoming “Immortal.” What was that all about? With who her parents are it’s quite obvious she would be immortal already. Also she just tells us shes been intimate with all the guys together. You don’t have to have a ton of sex in a book for it to be good but I don’t see any chemistry between her and her guys. There’s barely any description of their time together to show me, the reader, the chemistry. Then we get a glimpse with who Crispin is and he just acts like a moody teenager. Half way through there’s finally a scene with her and her mother talking. It should have been in the beginning. I just felt like the author was all over the place with her story line without any real direction. Complete disappointment. So I’ll be the odd person out and tell you that if these things I’ve described don’t bother you then have at it. But it wasn’t for me.

I'm not sure whether I got a bigger kick out of the dresses or Wyn's guardians attempts to change them.

We meet a very interesting character in this one, his name is Blaze and he's a unicorn and his 'sparkles' have an interesting effect on Wyn.

Assassination attempts, an interesting visit to a 'library' and a war on the horizon will keep you turning the pages.

We also see Chesca in this one as well as many other characters as they try to figure out who is behind everything.

I am already starting Winter Queen, the next book in the series.

I loved this book! Skye has given us a much more in-depth look at the world she introduced us to in Winter Princess (If you haven't read it... seriously, why haven't you read it?). Wyn and her Guardians are in the Realm of Wynter's mother - but not all is well here, and there are dangers that were only hinted at before.

I never give synopses in book reviews, because I like going in with some mystery. But I really think that anyone who is a fan of RH, mythology, pnr - or just simply romance, will enjoy the heck out of this book. I did not put it down from the moment it showed up in my Kindle.

Great job, Skye! I can't wait for Book 3!!

A fantastic continuation of Wyns story. The character development continue to be phenomenal. The relationships with each of the men is deepening as the world around them is becoming increasingly complex. With more enemies than ever before. I am anxious to see what happens next.

Loved this book! Skye did such a great job with this book.. as usual. All of her characters grew, as well as she shined some light onto mental health which may be what someone needs one day. She took us readers into their world and I could almost believe i was in that world myself! (May have had some help of some white stuff outside) starting my countdown until the next book!!

I loved this book even more than the last. Warning... ends in a cliffhanger and you might want to kill the author. That being said, Wyn's relationships with her guardians and her mother grows. We learn a lot more about Crispin in this one. Impatiently waiting for book 3 now.

Poor Wynter thought she would be safer once she entered her mothers realm but it was not meant. Assassins and more do their best to take out not only her but her mother as well. Lots of twists and turns with a lovely library twist that I rather enjoyed. If you loved book one then you have to try this one. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

I really don't think Skye can write anything that is less than fantastic. Everything I've read from her has been wonderful and this was no exception. I loved seeing more of the guys. Previously I felt like they could have used a bit more developing. But this time around I felt like they jumped off the page. I really can't recommend this series and this author enough. If you haven't read this yet, grab it now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow!

This was one emotional rollercoaster of a book! I thought I liked the first book in this series but I KNOW that I love this one. We see real development between the relationships of all the characters and find out more about Wyn's origins. The only reason that this isn't a 5 star review for me us that I feel like we lost a little time between books (maybe there's a novella I don't know about?) Wyn seems to reference various intimate times with most of the guys where as book 1 left off with her only having slept with Storm, she also discussed having met with another god at one point. This took me a little out of the story at times as I asked myself huh? When did that happen? But otherwise this was a fantastic book with an ending that makes me want book 3 yesterday!! Roll on May!

Winter Heiress gave some great insight to the Winter Kingdom and the threat they are facing, as well as introducing some new faces (*cough cough* Blaze). The character dynamic was shifted in this new realm with Wyn being confronted with the realities of being the heir of such a realm. I am really looking forward to the continuation of this story Arc (excuse the pun).
