With all the excitement around the real world royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle I've been doing a book marathon of the PRINCES OF AVCE books. I LOVED this one as the seemingly out of place Amy who grew up with two loveliness parents....so she herself didn't believe in love finds her very own Prince. Lucio only recently became aware he needs to marry imminently or lose his recently acquired crown. Having grown up in the England, his family was only brought back to the monarchy within the last decade. Unbeknownst to him there was an archaic law saying he must marry by a certain day or lose his claim. With his father currently in a coma it's more important than ever. With factions working against his family to overthrow them, his father ill, and the discovery of the law Lucio and his brothers all attempt to find brides. Lucio however goes about it in a rather unorthodox and hi-tech way....via a computer program. How was he too know it would match him with his ex girlfriends little sister from when he was a teenager?! He's determined for this to just be a contract and not out of love....boy is he in for a surprise with Amy and his country. Amy originally thinks shes there for a secretarial job interview. She's quickly informed that's not the case....somehow he gets her to agree, and to come see his country. All types of mayhem, court intrigue, kidnapping, and more happens once they touch down in his beloved country. You WON'T be bored reading this book that's for sure. I LOVED seeing Amy come into her own and become the woman she's meant to become!
One star just because Amazon requires it. This had to be one of the worst "books" I've ever had the misfortune to read. Plot was decent, although FULL of holes. The writer needs a continuity editor. Hell, the author simply needs a freaking editor in general!!! The dialogue, as others have said, was stilted, stiff, lackluster, contrived, and booorrrrrring!!!! Not to mention some of the actual conversations jumped around with little to no clarity as to who's talking, what subject they were on, or even what is really being said. And while I get this was a sweet and clean romance, the love scenes absolutely had to have been lifted from Miss Manners' books of etiquette from the 1810s. Looking at the author's list of books, I find it shameful that 1) people actually read this drivel and 2) read it enough to warrant as many books as this author SEEMS to have written. I guess there's always a market for crap.
I have only gotten to 12% and am quitting. This book has pretty high reviews, but I couldn't overcome the annoying aspects of it. I found myself constantly going back to see what I had missed, only to realize there wasn't anything leading from point A to point B. Mostly I was annoyed at the inaccuracies. Teens in Britain do NOT go to "high school." They attend a secondary school---and a prince would likely attend at single-sex preparatory school. (probably a boarding school) This was just ludicrous--and the author kept going on about the characters' high school experiences. I try not to write reviews of poor quality books, but a little fact-checking and patching of the plot holes might make this book readable. Sorry, but as-is, this book is not readable.
1.0 out of 5 starsThis may have been the worst book I've ever read!

The plot was very contrived. I realize it is contemporary romance but the editing was the pits. The dialogue was often stilted. I've read some mediocre books but this was the first that caused me to write a review, Deleting it from my library!

The writing is easy to read, fairly straight forward story telling. A prince in a small country has to find a wife, a computer suggests the younger sister of a girl he once knew, emotionally or carnally is a bit uncertain. The young woman had liked him as a teenager and now she realizes her job is dependent on her ambitious parents' good will. They have business interests in his country and want a marriage to occur, and also her sister might still want to be the one to become princess. She decides to accept the proposal. The two main people get to know each other while not everyone round them is happy with the proposed marriage.
I just love this whole series! And this third book did not disappoint. This is Amy and Lucio's story. As with the first stories, Lucio needs to find a bride and Amy's name comes up on the IT program. Amy had a crush on Lucio in high school but her sister Evie was jealous and went after Lucio. Now she is supposed to be his perfect match. Can Lucio convince Amy to trust him enough and marry him. Lot of intrigue, political unrest, and challenges around every corner and Evie sniffing around. Wonderful story. Bring on the next!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

This book was absolute awesome! I'm just getting ready for the couple of this story, Passionate, Drama, Sexual, Dangerous, all in writing this story about how Royals, learn how to make sure that they married the right woman who has everything that they need in their families. Exciting times ahead with dangerous people who want to destroy their families! The author has done a terrific job in writing this story.Enjoy!!!

I like the idea of the plot for this book, and I loved Amy or at least I did at first. She is explained as a very smart independent woman, yet her knowledge of sex, etc. is so naive it as if she lived in a closet her whole life. I just didn't feel like it fit the character as she is first introduced. Also, the romance was super rushed. Which is a shame, I liked the idea of the plot.
