5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal Introduction to Savages and Saints!

Torment is the amazing first book in the new Sinners and Saints series. This spinoff of C.M. Seabrook's Wild Irish series is an angsty and scorching read. Get ready to feel all the feels when you dive into Torment and to be so consumed you won't want to put it down.

Zee St. James is tormented by a past full of abuse, overwhelming guilt, and bad decisions. Not believing he has a hope of happiness he leaves town and everyone he loves behind. After years of being away from home Zee learns one of his mistakes may have consequences he didn't expect and heads home to right all the wrongs that torment him.

Quinn Savage has been in love with Zee for years despite him leaving her behind and breaking her heart. When Zee comes back to town Quinn knows what she wants and the connection between them is still there after all the years apart. I loved how feisty and loyal Quinn was and how she fought for what she wanted in spite of everyone that tried to deter her.

The emotional rollercoaster ride this book took me on kept me captivated until the very end. I loved meeting all the Savages and Saints and after this phenomenal introduction I look forward to the upcoming books in this fantastic new series. Torment is a definite must read if you enjoy scorching, angsty and emotional reads that will leave you with the biggest smile on your face.

5.0 out of 5 stars New Addictive Series!

OMG. THIS. BOOK! Amazing start to this new series! This book had it all and I couldn't help fall in love with the characters. This author has managed to get me hooked to another great series again. It got steamy, teary, angry, and swoony from page one. Not to mention major LOL moments!

"A scream sticks in my throat, but my reflexes work perfectly. I hit the intruder with the only weapon I have - my vibrator."

Really enjoyed Zee and Quinn together with their banter and the sexual tension was off the charts hot. Definitely a must 1-click especially if you're already a fan of Wild Irish, which is the series of which this spin-off begins. Torment is a total standalone, but you first meet the sassy and strong minded, Quinn, in Taming Irish. Amazingly written in dual POV with its own HEA. A bonus for me in every book is when an great book includes an epilogue, which of course Torment does. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Torment is about a boy who not only experienced the tragic loss of someone he loved at young age but also endured the abuse of a parent. It’s about a boy who grows into a broken man that doesn’t believe he’s worthy of anyone’s love. Zee has been running from his past and burying his sorrows in alcohol and drugs. Finally hitting rock bottom Zee decides it’s time for a change. This decision has him going back to his hometown to face the people he’s hurt and try to right the wrongs of his past.
Quinn has loved Zee ever since they were children. Nothing ever happened between the two growing up because Zee was her brother’s best friend. That was until one night they shared a kiss and then Zee disappeared. Six years later and now Zee’s back in town. Quinn is angry with him but still loves him. Seeing past the facade Zee puts on makes Quinn realize just how much pain he’s in. Now she’s determined to get him to open up to her and show that he is worthy of love. Also to show him that he doesn’t need to carry his burdens alone.
I really enjoyed Quinn and Zee’s story and can’t wait for the next book.

Torment is a story of Zee, a broken man whose past is scarred by secret indiscretions, mistakes and bad choices and the guilt and fallout that comes along with that, a present filled with regret, shame and TORMENT and the need to make amends and do the right thing and a future marked with hope, redemption, forgiveness and the love of a good woman….. and that would be Quinn.

Quinn, a woman who heart is overflowing with unconditional love and shows him, that sometimes…….. you can go home again.

Kudos to the author for throwing in some humor as well. The "BOB" scene was freaking hilarious and had me laughing out loud... Loved that......

This book is a fantastic 5 STAR start to the Savages and Saints Series by one of my all-time favorite authors, C.M. Seabrook. If you haven’t yet, don’t miss out and grab your copy of Torment and take the journey with Zee & Quinn……

I loved this book and so will you. I can’t wait for Kade’s story in Gravity, book 2 of the series. He was one of my favorite characters in Torment. ★★★★★

Zee has been Quinn's older brothers best friend since she was 8 years old. So to say that her crush/love for Zee goes back more years than she cares to admit. When Quinn is 18 years old Zee disappears and for years no one knows what happened to him. He went to a dark and dangerous path of drugs, alcohol and women, The life of a rock star or so he told himself. he comes home, somewhere he never thought he would be again. He went to make things up to his family and friends that he knows that he let down and has no idea if they will forgive him or not but he needs to try. There is also a secret he is keeping from all his friends especially his best friend. he had no plans of ever staying but when he lays eyes on the one women he thinks he could never have, He knows he has no choice. Will she forgive his secrets and let their love free or will it tear them apart forever?

I think this maybe my new favorite book!

Gah!! Oh how I loved everything about this book! I’m a sucker for a best friends little sister romance but this was so so much more! The title fits this book so perfectly too.
Zee certainly has his demons but when it comes to him, Quinn is not one to give up on him. These two were perfect for each other. The storyline was well paced and well written and there was enough drama without it being over the top.
CM Seabrook goes from strength to strength with each book and I can’t wait to see what she pulls out of the bag next.
