Received my copy yesterday and already it's been "grabbed" by a friend who was visiting to read and get copies for her granddaughters--how fun is that?! Keira is smart and savvy, not knowing she's going to become an ace kid detective. She dives into her first case with her grandfather--together, the create the Keira and Papa Detective Agency. Readers quickly meet Waffles, the third member of the team--together they discover a few twists and turns in The Case of The Missing Crown Jewels with England as the backdrop. Love the interaction between Papa and Keira, the old and the young and the mix of cultures--kids will learn tips and ahas about countries along with following a few clues and solving cases. I look forward to the next in the series--there's a teaser chapter at the end of the book that will take readers to Panama.
Author Robert Martin has created a PLUS experience with the grandfather/granddaughter connection--the "Papa" in our household is giving a copy to our 9-year-old Bella as his special gift to her. Highly recommended.
