I read book in two nights. It was hard to put it away. I like it also because there's not a lot of bad language. I like the character Max. I imagine him to look like Mel Gibson in Road Warrior. I can't wait for the next one. I have a question for anyone out there. Do these EMP books ever end? It seems like they just keep continuing?
The survival of the group is intense as they try to get to where they are going. They get into more scrapes and manage to escape with their lives. The book kept me interested and wanted to read more, all the way to the end, and it ended good. What is next?
I liked the story line, even though it was too short. The different books in this series should have been offered as a box set so that the read wasn't interrupted by having to purchase , then purchase, then purchase, then purchase. Also, doesn't the publisher have proof readers? These book are filled with mistakes, and a few have to be figured out since actors names were sometimes replaced by other names.
Well not the best of the series but it was okay. Max is absolutely key to their survival and everyone within the group knows it. I like how the author stresses that the amount of food has so much to do with your mental attitude and fortitude. Good book going on to number 5.
This is a good series to read if you want to know how not to act after an EMP. The characters are all written as idiots and the story is just dumb and really just goes on and on. I'm on book 7 and I hope it's his last. Do yourself a favor and go for the Going home books or the John Matherson novels.
Each book gets better. Good stories and well developed characters. Perhaps a bit far fetched at times. Mr Westfields writing style is also greatly improved from the first book. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
