Chaos Theory by Merry Farmer. I didn’t like this book. I kept hoping it would get better, but it didn’t. My biggest problem was with the heroine, Melody, who was supposed to be oh so perky and upbeat and have such a sunny disposition. I found her to be oh so annoying to the extreme. She was so pesky in her pursuit of Will and she seemed sort of stalkerish in the way she really hounded him. To be honest, I really didn’t find him much better. I love the hot, nerdy guys. But Will didn’t really seem to have much of a personality. Didn’t see his appeal.
And then there was her dad, the sex therapist. Of course. Yeah. Nope.
I really didn’t like this book, didn’t like either of the main characters, and Will’s solo act when they were on their orienteering program was just icky, nothing sexy about it.
Two books I recently (re)read are Love Hacked by Penny Reid (now Alex is a hot nerd) and Sally Thorne’s The Hating Game. Sadly, few books measure up to these two.
This book didn’t come close and left a lot to be desired. And I say desired as not in a good way.
