I have started looking into more natural ways of pain relief and general feeling better since things my doctor suggests have not been helping much. I just started with acupuncture and am very interested in the east Asian methods of healing. Reiki was mentioned by my acupuncturist so I wanted to learn more before I scoffed at him for suggesting this non offensive way to control my energy levels. While reiki is known for spiritual healing, the book discusses the science behind why it works and its origin. This kept me reading. I enjoyed how the basic foundations are good to practice regardless if you believe that it works or not. You will still get good returns on the time you practice love and understanding. Everybody needs reminded of that. It was well written and an enjoyable read. I think I will start practicing right away.
Reiki's popularity increases as people are learning about its amazing healing capacities. When Reiki was first introduced in the western countries, its connection with religion, was much more heavy than nowadays'. Now, it is mostly looked as an excellent form of energy healing. Stressful people of nowadays have turned to eastern therapies as acupuncture, massage and Reiki to help themselves feel happier. And it is working. Whenever the balance to the spiritual aspect of the body is restored, the healing will follow. As the author says, in his straightforward and sometimes humorous way, Reiki will boost the body's immune system by unblocking its energies.
This gave me a lot of information about Reiki Healing. I've never tried this, but there is a possibility that I will do so in the future. Additionally, I would like to practice Chi as a part of my stressful life. I do not regret that I bought this book, it is so informative and influential at the same time. I was inspired about the "Eight Fold Path" and I've been applying these steps daily ever since I learnt about it. I can consider it as one of the reasons I feel positive all day, especially after a long stressful shift at work.
Reiki is a form of energy healing that supposedly has many benefits for health and mental well-being. According to the thought process, if you get your energy aligned spiritually, the body will heal afterwards. The book covers the history of Reiki, the science behind it, the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path. This was all very interesting to read about, and while I don't know if Reiki can "heal" everything, I don't think having spiritual wellbeing and mental health can hurt anything at all!
This book is of high quality and therefore I can recommend it. I learned a great deal about the Reiki, which will serve as a starting point of learning for me. It is important to start trying this form of healing on yourself at first, so that is my plan. It was also very interesting to read about unblocking energies in the mind, body and heart. Good job the author!
