4.0 out of 5 stars Roman and Joslyn!

Roman and Joslyn became best friends over their painful childhoods and that friendship evolved into love. Joslyn supported Roman’s dream of becoming a musician even though she wanted him with her she wanted him to be happy more. Just when they had found a way to be together tragedy struck and they weren’t able to handle it together, so they went their separate ways.

Years later Roman is a successful Rockstar however the same can’t be said for his personal life. He is going through a bitter and very public divorce and it is Joslyn who comes to his rescue when he gets in trouble with the authorities.
When they reunite the connection and chemistry between them is stronger than ever, but someone isn’t happy that they are together and will stop at nothing to keep them apart.

A little suspense, hot chemistry and a love that is too strong to be denied all combine into a great start to a new series that leaves us wanting Dean’s story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Enjoyed this Book!!

This is the first book I've read from Ms. Coopmans, but I surely loved it! I was engrossed in the lives of these characters from the beginning!

"Four years is a long time, but we'll make is Joslyn. We have to keep telling ourselves that every day is one day closer. It's always been you and me. Our someday is going to be here before we know it.

But life has a funny way of getting in the way. Roman ends up getting married to Gwen (no spoiler, it's in the blurb) and poor Joslyn sees the two of them all over the tabloids. But lo and behold, Roman finds himself in legal trouble and ends up with a hot shot tough cookie lawyer, Joslyn.

They know that the love they once had is still there, but she has some anger issues to work out with him. Enter Gwen, the ex-wife and some other surprises that I didn't see coming and this book went out with a bang! Couldn't put it down!!

"Listen up, bitch. You think this is bad; you wait until I get you alone." That voice scares me. I don't recognize anything. His broadening, angered tone, however, makes me shiver to the center of my bones.

Can't wait for Where There's Smoke, book 2! Highly recommend!!

Joslyn & Roman loved with every fiber of their being. But childhood love never lasts, does it?
When Roman, the lead singer of a major rock band, is thrown in jail for assaulting a paparazzi, it's his new lawyer that takes his breath away. His past is standing right in front of him, representing him even when she's been thrown into this firestorm the paps have set off. Unselfish, Joslyn's primary goal is keeping Roman put of jail. But when the media refuses to let up, partially thanks to Roman's ex wife, they have learned to take this gift life has given them and male every day count.
Funny thing about life is, for some people, it just never knows when to back off. The twist that I, for sure didn't see coming, makes you gasp in shock!

Edgy....that's what I keep thinking when trying to review this book, story, quarrel, journey. My emotions are conflicted after reading, absorbing, pushing away, accepting, the words described within the pages. Overall, I enjoyed this story, had many FEELS, and connected with the main characters but I hope that the parts that seem to be missing are brought to life in the next book. Looking forward to Dean's story.

The Right Direction by Kathy Coopmans is a hot and sexy second chance romance. Roman and Joslyn’s story had me hooked from page one. These two had a troubled childhood that connected them where they formed a bond that they thought couldn’t be broken. They thought life was looking up for them with Roman living his rockstar dream. But, as you know Kathy Coopmans is sure to pull out all the stops with our emotions as well as the unexpected twists and turns. She did just that with this book. I loved how hard they both loved even though tragedy pulled them apart. You are sure to be reading well into the night.

A little disappointed. The premise and the start of this book was very promising. About one third in, it became very repetitive, in both characters inner dialog about each other and the hot sex scenes. Wish there was more to the actual story. Maybe the next book about Dean will fare better.

Angsty, gripping and emotions on max overdrive throughout. More suspense than I was expecting.
Also runs very hot on the steam meter. You're in for a ride with this on.

This book! I don't even know where to start. Sometimes you think if you have read one Rockstar book, you have read them all, but I am going to tell you this is WRONG! This book, while yes Roman is in a band, this book is more about the paparazzi and trying to live a normal life outside of being the singer. The bonds that are formed between band mates, and family. Second chances are great, we all deserve them. This book is so full of emotion. Kathy did it again, just amazing!
