From start to finish, this was one beautiful romantic love story. Both main characters grow and end up being better for their challenges. This was the first book that I purchased by Amelia Wilde, but after I ended the last sentence, I purchased 3 others in her Endless Kiss series. I hope they are as good as this one was. sigh... just so romantic.
Because of some past trauma, Kennedy Carlisle is staying absolutely sober at her best friend's bachelorette party. She is standing stiff and constantly monitoring how many drinks each of her friends have and their antics on the dance floor. In the next booth sits Gideon Hawke, a billionaire, and his best friend. They both take note of the gorgeous redhead and her demeanor. Gideon's friend makes a bet with him that he can't get her to dance with him. After a bit of friendly persuasion, she agrees to one dance, that turns into more.
This is the first time in years that she has allowed herself to relax and doesn't want the evening to end, so Gideon, flies her off to a Caribbean island. The romance between them continues to build, but she holds close the reason for her extreme anxiety around bars and drinks. The passion between the two of them sears the pages of my Kindle. A couple more episodes of anxiety and angst, but we get our lovely HEA at the end. I BOUGHT THIS BOOK. Can't wait to read another in the series.
