5.0 out of 5 starsI truly enjoyed the story line and the pleasure it brought

I truly enjoyed the story line and the pleasure it brought. It is a series that you cannot put down, you want the next to find out what is happening.' Ceres a strong woman who shows that not only men can command and fight, survive the worst of the worst torture a person can bear and come out the winner.. To meet her mother and find out she has power, how to use it and then to lose it, mother comes to tell her that she must follow her destiny , that she had not lost her power just over used them. Now Stephania was a piece of work, she wanted Thanos and she would do anything to get him. She was evil until she fell in love with Thanos. The King also was evil but in his end he was trying to make things right. The characters were well descriibed to their true character. the most evil of all was the king's son Lucious he would kill, rape, steal land, put people in hell ,kill any one he chose. Not care in the world. He killed his father withiout concern, but he felt nothing. He had done so much and killed so much all his concern went out. I will not tell you how it end You need to read it.
5.0 out of 5 starsGreat finish to a wonderful series

Great finish to a wonderful series. Each book was exciting from start to end. The characters were developed so you felt they were real. Some I couldn't wait to be killed off, but it was better they lived to end the book and then got their punishments. I can't say enough about how I loved this series. From book one to the end. Everyone of them was fast, exciting, and left you chomping at the bit for the next book. This final book tided everything together. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who likes this genre.

After all if this pain and brutal defeats Stephania is what? The right punishment would be to replace her physical beauty with physical ugliness to match her interior and have her live with it. The fights were great violent, gory and cinematic, but the resolution was meh! It looked like the LOVE was just tepid at the very end and not that worthy sacrifice.
3.0 out of 5 starsMy overall opinion of the series

Definitely does not start out as the greatest, well written series. Through the first books i kept asking myself why i was reading them. They at times seemed to be poorly written. Soo much death. Bad guys just wouldn't die, good guys just couldn't win. Details/descriptions were incomplete...but yet, I had to finish these books!! SMH....love interests, triangles of relationships, I REALLY did like Ceres and Thanos, reason i probably kept reading, and was okay with the ending.
5.0 out of 5 starsThis is truly a great story that has all the elements to keep a reader interested. Everyone needs a little magic in their lives

The last in the series does not disappoint. There are many hardships, a war unexpected loss and monsters to be dealt with. There is also sacrifice and a great love. The story weaves together the many people you have come to know, and either loath, like or love. In this book you get to know how it ends for them. I truly enjoyed this series, and hope you take the opportunity to enjoy it too!
This series was awesome ! I enjoyed every book could not wait to go on to next one . I hope you will continue with book 9 so I can see how Thanos and Ceres future turns out especially if they have children . Truly an amazing series .

Another great saga from Mr. Rice. Filled with amazing characters, epic battles, a fast paced story line, magic, sorcerers, good, and evil. The only thing wrong with this book was that it had an ending. I could have read on and on.
Yes it was a pleasure reading this series of books, just couldn't put them down. Every chance I got, I read some chapters, all 8 books were amazing. The storyline of plots to invade islands, overthrow empires, plus the love interest was astonishing.
The introduction of new characters throughout the books, kept you wanting more and, if you are syfy nut like me, you will love them. But you to start from book 1(which is free on the kindle).
Spoilers This book for the price wasn't worth it but to finish off you just had to buy it. Good over came evil but there were some deaths that came to pay the price. I'm glad Steph... Got what she deserved in the end. I think that there could have been more to the book and there was a few loose ends so to speak left. And to me the ending has left it open to start a new series off with the children and some of the characters from this series if she wanted too. Very game of thrones inspired to me in my opinion just glad that love could conker all at least in the pages of a book....
5.0 out of 5 starsThis book proved to be excellent in closing down the whole saga

This book proved to be excellent in closing down the whole saga, without giving away some conclusions too early. Until the very end the fates of the 'baddies' and 'goodies' were left in suspension and only revealed through a clever, literary 'drip-feed'.

I did not think too much of the first book but pressed on. Lucky I did, for me as the series a got better culminating with number 8.I still do not understand the titles or who were the heroes and villains, but I did enjoy the rest. Keep up the stories, Ms. Rice I look forward to reading more from you.
A very good book to end a great Series which has had the right mix of romance, betrayal, sorcery, swordplay, loss, the fight between Good and Evil. Thanos struggling on Haylon to buy time for Ceres to escape the island. Stephania causing trouble all over until the end. My only regret was that all the bad and evil things just kind of melted away so easy........bit lame otherwise a really great read!
