I finished this book yesterday and hated to see it end. I thoroughly enjoyed this author's writing style. She used humor and great descriptives while building an entertaining storyline. I could not say there was no violence or sexual content because there was a tad of each, but it was not of a graphic nature at all, and fully fit in with the story. Nothing blatant or unseemly. In fact, both enhanced the humor of the tale. I look forward to reading more romantic historical fiction from her. I encourage readers to give this one a try. I hope you can then agree that it was a truly FUN READ!
This short romantic romp will fit into anyone's busy Christmas schedule. Patience Callahan longs for a husband full of action and daring-do. Her perfect hero will match those in her favorite classic novels. And that doesn't include mild-mannered storekeeper Peter Foote. He's proposed to her more than once, but she's got her heart set on adventure. Peter finds out Patience has decided to be a mail-order bride to some unknown rancher in Montana. He's got just a few days to change her mind. With the help of her sister Kitty's hair-brained ideas, Peter set to prove he really is the man for Patience.

What a fun, quick story this Christmas. Ms. Evans has written a quality story in a short format that I enjoyed very much. There is humor and old west hijinks, sweet romance and all taking place at Christmastime. It's well worth the price and time to read Plum Pudding Bride any time of the year and get to know Ms. Evans' splendid characters.
Plum Pudding Bride by Anne G. Evans is a cute and fun read with likable characters and humorous situations. I enjoyed the short holiday novella and would recommend it.

I don't usually go for stories in this genre, but this one looked interesting. It was a fun, light read and short enough to finish quickly in the holiday bustle. Was pleasantly surprised by the balance of action and romance.
