This is a fresh approach to storytelling for kids. It focuses on action and friendship. Never quite read a kids book like this. Since I read books before offering them to my nephew I checked this one out and I knew he’d love it.
Parents may take exception to the level of action but it’s all good fun and there are morals along the way, The characters grow, especially Sal and Kevin. Sal tries to become less of a rebel and Kevin has to get over his fear that Army will become leader of the group. Kids will certainly relate to it. I give it 5 stars because this will encourage kids to get into books if they aren’t already.
