I'm as far as they come from a professional reviewer of books but…:
I enjoyed Bob Mayer’s Chasing the Son from beginning to end. It kept me up late a few nights in a row (I read in the evenings before I go to bed). It never bored me.
It has up to date (for the date of publication), informational explanations of, sometimes, obscure or little known things that do exist, along with suspense and action. It doesn’t have so many characters as to become a confusion of personalities.
It has graphic violence and some sexual content adding context. You wouldn’t find this book in a primary school library but, there aren’t entire chapters dedicated to sex acts (not a fifty shades type book).
I’m old and don’t care to take any book review classes, but I hope I’ve contributed to these reviews.
