WOW!!! What an angst-filled, suspenseful, game of twisted chess! I literally ate this book and then licked my fingers with a satisfied smirk on my face.
So, you meet Lou-Lou and Ricardo in Blame It On Pain. I recommend reading that one, not that you won't love this one, it's just, that book was the groundwork for this one. Plus it's amazeballs and a MUST read. Anyway, I was a bit interested in their story, but I had no idea what awaited me. This book had me on pins and needles from start to finish. I opened this book with thoughts of reading a few chapters... I was completely and utterly consumed. I think Lou-Lou was short changed in Blame It On The Pain. You will need to prepare yourself for a darkly addictive game. The emotions fire on all cylinders. I felt like I had my hand in the cookie jar, I felt panicked, I felt an uncontrollable need to run. My chest was feeling heavy. My heart was exploding. I love when an author makes you work for fireworks. The show is tantalizingly slow, but the final is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
Angst. Angst pulled my hair. And I love every single moment.
