This book had a lot of great qualities, and some of the prose was really impressive. The story was sweet, the characters had nice bits of backstory that made them feel very realistic, and the idea was a good one.
However, I felt that the pacing of the romance in the story was a bit lacking since the hero and heroine seemed to instantly just fall together as soon as they officially met. Also, the mystery wasn't very mysterious -- I knew who did it before I was at the 40% mark.
Still, I finished the book and I did enjoy it, so I feel that it's a firm 3-star. Some more effort in romantic pacing would have rated it much higher for me.
