I adored this book. I liked it as much, if not more, than the previous book in this series. I’m rather irritated with myself for forgetting that I had it in the first place. I had every intention of writing a review for it the same as I did for book 2 in the series when I first got it … way too long ago. The fun of being blind and not having a physical book (or cover) to catch my eye when I’m searching for something to read again.
It was super cute, Lucy is pretty much everything that I admire in a heroine. She’s funny, knows what she wants, and doesn’t take crap from anyone. I was highly entertained by her pranks and how she dealt with Trick before he got a clue. And, well, how she dealt with everyone else too.
Trick was a great hero for me, just the right amount of everything. I just want to point out that nerdy guys are hot … that is all.
It was hard to believe that this was novella length since it read like a bigger book to me. Writing a short story can be really tough for some authors and I think that Sage does a fine job at it in this book. Just enough information to keep me enthralled in the book without overloading things or making the story read choppy … if that makes any sense.
I can’t wait to read the next book because I loved the set-up for it in this book.
