5.0 out of 5 stars I'm loving this series more and more!

TQB hasn't left our solar system yet and they have already met (knowingly or not) four alien groups so far. We meet Terry (TH to my friends) again in this story, along with Richard and Samuel from Australia again. I love all of the characters we as readers keep meeting in these stories, and how characters keep growing in all areas. Bethany Anne and her crew πŸ’™β™₯️β™₯οΈπŸ’™ I would love to meet them all!

This episode takes place immediately after the Yollins are captured and begin working with Bethany Anne. The first best part is the trophy wife situation. The second best part is the challenges to figure out where humans belong in the Yollins caste system: Kiel challenges Peter (whom Kiel has never seen in Pricolici form 😁) first, then the Science Officer Royleen and his helper challenges Marcus and his teammate (the scary Kurtherians) both BIG wins for Beth and her crew. More and more good parts keep happening - you gotta read this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 STARS. FAULTY EDITING HURTS YOU

5 STARS for the things I LOVE!!! Wild and funny characters. Fabulous world building. Intriguing plot twists. Weaving TQB reality into ours. I am completely hooked as a reader and in love with all the characters. HOWEVER I must point out the consistent misuse of past/future perfect tense ... I had fell instead of I had fallen ... I had spoke instead of I had spoken ... AND the missed correction of "computer" chosen words like ... feint instead of faint ... and more telling, one time where Bethany Ann was entered as Bethany and !!!!!!! ... I can certainly understand and accept an OCCASIONAL missed word and, while the editing has improved, it should have been much better before now. I do forgive an over abundance of enthusiasm in writing fast to get the books to me! I appreciate that! But just take a SECOND to look when each chapter is done!
All that being said, I am a HUGE fan and cannot WAIT to see MCHAEL come back to join TQB in whatever endeavors they inspire.

First, the warning about the language is accurate. Normally, that would have put me off these books but the book samples were well-written enough for me to take a chance on the first book. After reading it, I got the rest of the 21-book set and I've really enjoyed it. I've also read the 10-book related Nomad set. The author does a good job of keeping a coherent story line throughout the multi-book sets and does a good job bringing in additional characters as needed to fill in the world he has created.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great series, but #13, My Ride is a Bitch, dragged a little....

I have read all of the series so far....hey, only a year behind....most of the series I have given five stars....Yeah Michael....but for some reason, I had a hard time getting through this, maybe because my wife is Japanese and I spent over 11 years in Japan while in the military...there were just things about the book that didn't seem to fit....also it was dry in many places...maybe I'm just getting to used to the mayhem called Bethany Anne and when she wasn't out and about causing the mayhem...things slowed down. Also glossing over the retribution on the Yakuza....that could have been an interesting read....hopefully in #14 we get to see more of the Area 51 people making more mistakes...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my new favorite series

Ran across the Rise of Magic series and was intrigued, so decided to purchase all 16 books in the Kurtherian Gambit series. I then spent the next 4 days reading all 16 of them, then moving on to the Second Dark Ages and Trials and Tribulations series. This is a very entertaining and intriguing take on Vampires and Werewolves. I am eagerly awaiting book 17. And while there were warnings about the cussing in the book I found them to be hilarious. As far as military Scifi goes, I would easily rate this up there with some of the other major authors in the genre, such as John Ringo's Possleen War or Through the Looking Glass. Looking forward to enjoying the rest of this series, and the best part Michael Anderle seems to be a fairly prolific author so not a massive wait between books.

3.0 out of 5 stars If left little impression.

This one almost reads like an interlude to the main tale. The whole idea of this 21 book Odyssey is that Bethany Anne was upgraded by an alien who seeks to have her lead others in a fight against members of its own race who have turned sociopathic in their attempts to uplift races.

However, while this book continues some of the subplots surrounding the fact that many Earth governments are unhappy with the technology accumulated by TQB Enterprises the main part is a side quest to save a young girl who is worried about her parents.

It does tie back to some of the corporations that have continued to try to steal TQB technology, but otherwise has few ties to the story and even less of an impact.

Its filler. Good filler in some ways, but its a filler episode and very forgettable in the end.

I love this series. I enjoy reading another detailed title in the Kurtherian Gambit series each month. The author is a gifted story teller.

In this title space is just starting to come together, but now things on earth are starting to get nasty. There's an expedition to Antarctica to look for alien technology that might not be as crazy as it sounds. A new shadow government entity makes its presence known in a big way. Add to that the growing members of nation states and corporations that really, really want TQB tech.

This book feels like a match sitting just above a bundle of dynamite, and the next story will tip the little flame just right. I can't wait to read what happens in the next book!

Another great entry in the adventures of Bethany Anne and her people. It's a shame when you have more cooperation from aliens than your fellow humans, but that is the situation for BA. That is why TQB's plans to leave the Solar System need to be accelerated as much as possible. But life keeps springing something new (or rather something old) that makes it more difficult. One way or another, BA is going to get her way (out of Dodge!).

Recommended to those who follow this series. New readers need to start at the beginning - Death Becomes Her.

If I had two criticisms it would be that Michael does not write fast enough :P and duplicating characters first names (the 2 Jennifers confused me for a while) I absolutely love love love this series. I have laughed, had several OMG moments, cheered BA and the gang on - and I have cried. I have pictures in my head of hat all the main characters look like and that is the best tribute I can give. If I cannot "see" the characters I lose interest in them and in turn lose interest in the book. In TKG that has not happened. Yes BA is down in the dumps - we all get like that - but she will come back BBB (bigger, better & more badass)

Once again I'm so glad I picked up this series. A brilliant episode in the series and I've already downloaded the next one. Love the characters and it get more convoluted as it goes on but well worth sticking with.
I am also seriously thinking about joining Kindle Unlimited because of all the other authors introduced.
Loving it.
