The other books in this series were better. The story starts out with Lady Amanda's usual brand of outrageousness, but eventually the story becomes plodding and lackluster. By the time you discover whodunit, you don't really care anymore.
Not so enthralled by Frazer's writing- kind of tacky and not sure how to say it, but not very imaginative, nor high-quality. More like a high school kid telling a story sometimes. I've read most of this series so obviously I keep coming back for more, but they never really improve in quality.
I am a huge fan of Andrea Frazer. Belchester Chronicles are a great read with lots of fun. There is always a clever plot and the main character become the crazy aunt everyone told you to be afraid of but you absolutely adore.
Love Lady Amanda, Hugo, and the other characters along with the humor as the mystery is solved. Looking forward to the next story. Each one in the series had been a good read. Light, funny, interesting plot, and lovable characters!
