Didn't realize this book's release was here but I AM HAPPY IT WAS! Harper Sloan ALWAYS DELIVERS! Even though her books are part of a series, she never inundate you with reliving the previous ones in order to catch up. The previous characters are secondary to the story and seamlessly integrated. Which makes me want to 're-read their stories. Nikki and Shane. LOVED THEM. Without giving away the plot, their hook up of convenience and bona fide interest in each other lays the groundwork for a great book. I could not, and did not stop reading til I was finished. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more. Their relationships with the secondary characters, Ember and Nate, was realistic and not forced. It was a d as engaging great read. Harper Sloan did it again and I'm anxiously waiting for the next book in the series. Hurry up early 2018!
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - Fairly simple story but the characters draw you right in! Shane is Nate's partner at the Dirty Dog, a male version of Coyote Ugly. When Shane finds out that Nate's wife's best friend Nikki is single and so is he, it is on! But he makes it clear he isn't a relationship guy. They can use each other for a fake relationship to get their exes to back off once & for all, and in the meantime they can enjoy a very hot dominant/submissive fling. Shane is very controlling & even though Nikki is out of her element with being dominated, she cannot control her body's reaction whenever Shane speaks to her in that stern bedroom voice in French, super hot. But he also uses French terms of endearment, also hot even when I had to wait for the end of the chapter to figure out what he said. :) "That's it, I'm getting Rosetta Stone." Nikki is confused about his forcefulness in the bedroom as opposed to how he treats her like fine china once they are finished. They have baggage from their exes that provide for a lot of lingering trust issues when Shane & Nikki find out that this is real between them & they need to see how far it goes. "Is this when you tell me not to fall in love with you?" "No. This is when I tell you I'm going to make you do just that." Confronting her ex gets him all tied up inside but Nikki has the cure to let him "take what he needs" and what do you know, she needs control in the bedroom just as much. No matter what happens Nikki wants to know everything about Shane & give their love 100% of her effort because in the end she just wants to know that she had all of him. Those words come back to haunt her because she is just the perfect girl for him and he still doubted her honesty. Fantastic ending!! "I'm yours. It's up to you what you do with me now." There are hints about Shane's sister Liberty and the Cage twins, OMG, I hope this happens!!

I remember when I was reading When I'm With You, book 3 in this series, and I was telling Harper that she needs to delve deeper into the BDSM lifestyle. With Nate being as dominant as he was, I told H that she would be really good at writing a BDSM story. Well holy moly, was I right!
Shane is a dominant man in every delicious way possible. He needs to be in control after having it taken from him so many years ago. He just needs it every aspect of his life. Whether it be personal or business, he has to have...well...control.
Being a dancer at Dirty Dog, he finds it hard to do what he loves but also find a woman who would be fine with him dancing for a bunch of women. Insert crazy psycho ex here.
Nikki, oh Nikki. She could very well be my favourite heroine of Harper's. She doesn't swear since she's a teacher and makes up funny sayings instead. My kind of girl. She's fun, awkward and has no filter at all. Again, my kind of girl. She could be my best friend.
This poor woman has an ex of her own who doesn't take no for an answer. He doesn't get the hint. And when Shane shows him who Nikki actually belongs to, my heart melted. In fact, my heart melted all over the place with this book.
This story brings us back to my favourite fictional town and I find myself never wanting to leave. Harper brings us love, pain, friendship with a dominating delicious twist.
Shane is nothing like her other heroes but he loves just as hard and fights for what's his. Fantastic job, Harper! This is by far your best work to date! xx
I was so happy when I found out that this book was about Nikki after meeting her in the previous book she was just so freaking funny and deserved her own HEA and Shane is a HEA any red blooded female would want.
Nikki is Ember’s best friend and they have been together through everything. It’s been a year since she found her ex Seth cheating on her and he still hasn’t got the message that she never taking him back, after a night out at Nate and Shane’s club she decides that her and Shane could have a mutually beneficial arrangement seeing as he is having the same issue he is with his ex Lacey not getting the message that he is done, they embark on a fake relationship to get their ex’s out of their lives for good. But when these two come together the chemistry combusts. They have a connection that neither expected, and their relationship is anything but fake, although Shane isn’t as sure of their relationship after previous jealous outbursts and behaviour from his ex Lacey can he trust that Nikki isn’t going to become just like her. Can Nikki forgive Shane's lack of trust in her feelings and let him back in or has he blown the best thing to ever happen to him?
I really loved this book and have to say this is the hottest book in the series so far there is everything you could possibly want romance, friendship, acceptance and trust. This is on story where I was worried my Kindle might actually melt. Cannot wait for more from this series especially with the hint of a book with Shane’s sister Liberty and a Cage boy……

Another wonderful instalment to the Hope Town Series.
Loved all these books, and this one didn't disappoint. Harper Sloan is so easy to read, her writing style flows well and she is the queen at bringing us super hot alpha men. Shane is just that... an alpha that craves control in the bedroom. His love interest Nicole, is a school teacher. She had me laughing out loud in numerous parts... So sweet. It can be a little predictable in parts but that is forgiven because it's such a steamy little book with very likable characters.

Drunk on You was an extremely enjoyable story that although I found slow to start soon picked up and then had me completely hooked and it certainly stayed that way throughout. As Shane and Nikki were extremely likable characters. Who had real chemistry and the story was hot, not to mention fun and entertaining. It also had great secondary characters, including Nate and Emberlyn from When I'm with You and Shane's sister Liberty, who I loved. And overall I thought this was a really great read. That I would happily recommend to others

I would like to praise Harper Sloan for another totally amazing book. I have never become so enamoured with a series of books. This novel was a true pleasure to read. So much so I had to complete it in one sitting as to leave would have been a travesty.
