This book was written by a remarkable medical anthropologist who also is an excellent herbalist.
I will spend years investigating and analyzing the leads and hints he has put into this book including casually mentioning
in passing how he healed his fractured wrist with herbs and some herbal tea !
His coverage of Lyme disease, the progression of the symptoms, the results of delayed antibiotics and the potential efficacy of the root he reccomends and used to cure his own infection are better than anything I read or studied in Oriental Medicine college.
Outstanding, and hard to put down once started. Caution: May prove addictive in wanting to read his other books and follow his analyses of the ancient spiritual basis of herbs, their cultural morphology and significance.
