2.0 out of 5 stars Big disappointment.

The first book started good. For the most part I liked it. The main character, Frank, is kind of hard to like. He makes a lot of bad choices. Some of the plot was just hard to believe. I feel this writer loves to write about violence. Some seemed too unbelievable. Book two just gets more violent. Bad characters die and the writer just brings in more. Book three is almost impossible to read. It is full of errors. Miss spellings, wrong words, and changes in the spelling in characters names. It couldn't possibly have been edited. The plot line just gets more unbelievable as book 3 goes on. I haven't even finished it. I may read the last chapter just to see how he ends it. After reading these I have no desire to read any other books written by this author.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great series, interesting characters

Great series, fast paced, easy to read. Each book includes helpful survival tips in blackout or other emergency situations. My only issue is some of the odd phrases nobody uses but the author seems to use quite often ("his lip curled", and "what are you on about?"). Minor detail, but overall interesting character development and a fun read.
