I read many a five book series of Ms. Saintcrow, but most of not all, started after these were done. Perhaps it was such a desire to find more that had me seeking The Society and it's sequel, Hunter, Healer. She certainly ends it with a bit wait there's more but like that black bird said, Nevermore.
While lacking in some critical way this was a well-thought-out and well put together story with believable characters and believable abilities. Wow it fails towards the end and seems to trail off into a lackadaisical and stumbling finale this was a good book.
The second in the Society series wrapped up really well. I really enjoyed the evolution of our heroine in the book. It was all out from start to finish unfortunately I would have preferred a slightly firmer ending than was given. Over all the better of the small series that it was.
