This book was free, so I thought I'd give it a try. It was incredible! I loved the characters and it was very well written! Yes, the story is an old one where boy wants to be wizard but for one reason or another is not allowed, but this story has a very good plot with parts that make you laugh, cheer and even sadness at times. I do hope there is more from this (technically these) author soon because I am already wrapped up in Nates story and want to find out how he does in the Wizarding world!
I absolutely loved this book!!! After reading the tales of Nathanial McGray (the main character) for myself and realizing it was a good, clean and uplifting story, I gave it to my Boy Scouts to read as part of a Merit badge project. They absolutely loved it!!! It's an easy read, which keeps you captivated. The authors have truly created a wonderful reading experience with many different action-filled adventures, involving new creatures, governments, spectacular environments and of course...lots of magic!!! It is a very similar experience to Harry Potter, Fablehaven and Leven Thumps..."Scrolls of Zndaria" transports the reader into a place where appearances are not always what they seem, evil exists, and good prevails. It captures your imagination, makes you feel as if you are right alongside Nate on the journey and allows the reader to empathize and connect with the underdog--experiencing all of the joy and heartache on this breathtaking adventure!!! Definately a FIVE star winner!!!
