5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, the Shopping Series Honeymoon

Shannon and Declan met as Hot Guy and Toilet Girl, bonded over business, fell in love, had the Bridezilla-mother of the century, escaped their own wedding and finally ended up married in Vegas.
Now, finally, they get to bask in the Hawaiian sunshine on the beach and have sexy times. Except Declan can't let go of his Bluetooth and phone calls, handling business for their newly bought coffee company. Shannon isn't afraid to use red garters to tempt him. Follow the humorous exploits of our favorite couple from each of their viewpoints. Julia's zany fun and unpredictable adventures are in this honeymoon book in all their full glory! You'll never guess how it all ends but you'll sure have a lot of laughs getting there.

I can’t describe in words how much I love this series and to have Declan and Shannon’s stories continue on after the wedding was like a dream come true.

The one thing with this series and with Julia Kent as an author is you know you are going to have a big grin on your face most of the time you are reading. These stories keep getting better and better.

In this book, we see Declan and Shannon heading off to their dream honeymoon in Hawaii, lovely tranquil place, no phones, and no work disruptions; well you would think that wouldn’t you??? No such luck. I must admit there were times I could have slapped Declan and felt so sorry for Shannon.

There is one particular part which I thought was hysterical and semi spoilerish. This is where Declan injects Shannon with the EpiPen thinking she was stung by a bee, the hilarity is after she is stung and the way she acts, honestly, I was laughing out loud at this girl.

After constant disruptions from Declan’s’ phone, the hotel staff doing everything they can to suck up to them on his honeymoon poor Shannon is ready to give up and go home. She does though have a great idea and between Shannon and Grace they put a plan into action which would enable Shannon to have Declan phone free and all to herself for the rest of the honeymoon. Simple you say, well not quite….. as with all Julia Kent’s books in this series, something always happens, however on this occasion, it was not only Shannon that suffers but also Declan, which in itself is seriously funny.

I am on tender hooks until the next book in this series.

I can testify that if you have not started this series you really should, Julia Kent is a gifted writer, funny, emotional, but also sexy. Please keep writing these stories Julia, I love them.

Those aspects of Shannon and Declan's honeymoon just about sum up their relationship. Since they first met they've been constantly bombarded with other peoples influences and expectations. At first they seemed an unlikely pair, fortunately Declan is a man who knows what he wants. His diligence, and dedication to Shannon, has brought them this far. Shannon*s quirky family and friends, not to mention Declan's hard core, competitive family have provided barriers and distractions all the way. Now, on their honeymoon, they find they need to learn to be alone. Shannon & Declan shine in this book. They have to learn to trust each other, love each other, experience each other as a married couple. The rotating change of POV between Shannon's emotional ride and Declan's (mostly) logical journey is captivating, it provides a depth to the story that's moving.. Of course it wouldn't be Declan & Shannon without hilarious escapades and unexpected distractions and conflicts. The story is wonderfully woven and their love makes it all marvelous. Even with red garters & red ants in the picture.

This book was very short. I thought the Narration was good.

The storyline was like diving into a lot of ridiculousness. It made me think of that old tv show, I Love Lucy, that used to be on Nick's TVLand. At least that's the channel I think it was on. A series of one mishap after another.

There were some funny moments, but one of the best scenes was when Declan told off Shannon's mother. The other was the fire ant scenes. Even with the funny moments, this book was definitely not one of my favorites of the series. I would give it 2.5 stars.

Julia Kent's Shopping for a Billionaire's Honeymoon continues the hi jinks, hilarity and absolute love of Declan and Shannon. No one writes Rom-Com like Julia does.I have fallen more and more in love with Declan over the last few books but this one...this is where he really puts his feelings out there...the thought of how it would be to live without Shannon...how Shannon is his one!! Yes this book contains the always fun comedy that this series is always really good at. If it can happen to a person, it happens to them...from Smurfs to ants and everything in between, there is something for everyone in this book. If you are looking for a true love story among the comedy, you will definitely find it here. Is it paradise? Or does family intrude as this family often does? Definitely a must read!

After the most hilarious wedding to ever not happen, Shannon and Declan finally get to go on their honeymoon.

The constant work, calls from Marie and James, and the shenanigans that tend to follow this couple everywhere they go, the honeymoon is not smooth sailing.

I loved having both Shannon and Declan's POVs in this story. Their banter and inner monologues had me laughing so hard, I could barely see the screen. I can't wait to see what happens next for this crazy group.

If it can happen, it will happen. Declan and Shannon have to be the unluckiest couple around, but who needs luck when they have each other. I swear that if anyone has even half the love and respect that these two have then they are destined for a life of happiness.

Having previously read the novella version of this book (a bonus story with 'Our Options Have Changed') which is told purely from Shannon's POV, I already knew the basis of the story and the final outcome. With the addition of Declan's POV and some addition scenes this book has just got better and better. Declan's love for Shannon flows from the pages. Everything he does is for her, even though it may not seem like it at times, and in return everything she does is focused around him.

I challenge anyone who reads this not to laugh out loud at least once, I may have got a few odd looks from family members during the evening with sudden outbursts. Even without being there, Marie can still cause problems and James is not much better!

A must read as part of the 'Shopping' series. Already looking forward to the next installment.

I loved loved loved this book.
When I read the 1st version as an extra in Our Options Have Changed I thought it was so funny. This extended version including Declans point of view takes it to a whole new level.
The added perspective is brilliant so enlightening it gives Declan so much more depth.
Shannon's description of Declans appendage whilst he sleeps is exceptional and that is only one of the many, eye watering, laugh out loud moments. you will laugh, cry and cringe (i mean seriously cringe)
I highly recommend this book and this series. you will not regret it.

....was as always, brilliant!

I have to say Julia Kent is a freaking awesome author! Guaranteed giggles, guaranteed emotions and guaranteed addictive story - what more could you ask for!!?!!

The only downfall I would say, is that it ended rather abruptly 😕 but then again, I don't think she'll ever write enough to be enough, you'll always want more!

Hats off to ya 😁
