Book Review: Rabbit Hole by David Shurter

I just finished Rabbit Hole: A Satanic Ritual Abuse Survivor's Story, by David Shurter, and it has left me shaken and upset. I've been running across accounts of terrible abuse by the CIA, the US government, the Jesuits, etc., but I've always been able to maintain a certain amount of emotional distance.

Not with this book.

David Shurter writes with a compelling and personal style about his own experience, and once you begin the book, you won't want to stop.

The official description of this book says:

"This book, finally, is an expose of the surprising participants and unbelievable horrors involving murder, drugs, lavish parties, pedophiles, suspected government conspiracies, and the Omaha gay scene that cast a dark cloud of suspicion over an unsuspecting city."

But, David does more than that. He takes you through the pain and self-loathing that afflicts the survivors of such abuse, and how he went through the process of healing from unimaginable trauma.

The word `unimaginable' is important here, because it is clear that few believed him when he took the courageous step to go public. How awful to go through such terrible suffering and then be reviled as delusional. And, if I hadn't seen evidence elsewhere that this has been happening, and continues to happen, I'm not sure that I would have believed him, myself.

But, I do believe him.

Worse, I believe him and know that this evil goes right to the heart of the United States government, the CIA and the Roman Catholic Church. The people that perpetrated such foul evil are running the US, and you need to know that.

Why?

Because you need to wake up. You need to wake up and take steps to protect yourself, your family and your community. Men and women who can rape little children and torture them in the foulest ways possible before sacrificing them to Satan... Men and women who can do that will stop at NOTHING in their quest to destroy you and your family and your community.

By the way, as a terrible side note, it is clear to me, as I read the book that it had been sanitized. You can see places where the flow has been jumbled because sections of text had been taken out. I do not doubt that there were experiences so awful and so gruesome, you might not have been able to bear reading about them.

Like I said, this book left me shaken and enraged at the evil that exists among us.

There are a couple more things that I need to add here - caveats, if you will. David Shurter is unashamedly gay, and he describes his experience within the homosexual community and with his male partner in a very positive and compelling way (but without prurient detail). This will be disturbing to many of you. It was certainly disturbing to me.

Also, David Shurter is a practitioner of Shamanism, while at the same time blending biblical elements with his religious views. His interaction with demonic forces and his experience with certain spiritual realms are dangerous beyond belief. The author firmly believes that his belief system is truth and is favored by God. I believe this to be a Satanic deception, made worse by his compelling advocacy of his personal beliefs.

So, if you are a Christian, only read this book if you have a firm grounding in the truth. If you are new in your faith, please choose other books to read. You've been warned.

Having said that, I hope that the author doesn't take offense at my criticism. I have nothing but enormous respect and admiration for what he has done, and what he has written. He deserves our support as he seeks justice for the victims of these heinous crimes, and as he continues to recover from the terrible evil done to him.

May God direct his way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exposes the evil depths to which organized pedophiles will go to silence and try to discredit child and adult victims.

Ritual and religious sexual abuse is becoming well documented amongst families and churches of all faiths.

Sexual abuse within a family can have a long long history of documented generational abuses. Satanists are no exception to this.

In fact satanist pedophiles are abhorred even amongst satanists- precisely because they corrupt quality of life for everyone! Yet religious abusers of many faiths and their ancestors over many generations perfected the very techniques employed against David and other children to sexually abuse them while at the same time attempting to have them appear not credible. It is a very very old game that many pedophiles play with intent to shock, discredit, bludgeon and frighten their victims into silence and complicity-by the abuse of positions of power, religious ceremony/dogma and fantastical horrific tortures and scenes.

Pedophiles come from all walks of life and professions and gravitate to positions of power and trust where they can get access to our children.

These pedophiles here certainly did as well, as David has described from a very personal perspective from the view of a child now grown to a man looking back. What David has not really stressed in his book but merely touched upon- is the degree to which these particular sexual predators of children, his parents for the most part, were complicit with similarly inclined sexual predators amongst our most powerful and most wealthy and most intelligent men in our nation ( a famous news editor, lawyers, a police chief, several wealthy owners of local real estate and multinational corporations, prosecutors, a particular military intelligence officer- a self-proclaimed "anti-christ" and founder/member of several satanic organizations, often accused of crimes against children and boasting of being a specialist in psychological warfare/mind control with the highest security clearances and accesses possible, along with the FBI agents and politicians that he and his cronies had compromised and planted over the decades- all these powerful and real corrupted individuals comprising a group that could be considered the most powerful "mafia-like" group of criminals to conspire against s and our children that our nation has ever faced.

Our community and government support systems- like our child protection services, our school administrfators, health, safety and justice departments, these child protection groups were set up to thwart much less sophisticated criminal networks than these pedophiles have had.

These vulnerable children, the survivors still in the safety of silence, like David, were raped by pedophiles who comprise the bowels of the military intelligence community- whose job it was to do covert operations to "neutralize" leaders of foreign nations, terrorists, extraordinary renditions, etc. Not surprising that these similar techniques were used to intimidate and discredit the children. Pedophiles do that all the time- threaten, blame, discredit, and sometimes maim their victims and even kill them.

Omaha's children, and those child victims from other cities as well, are no match against them.

Children are no match against their parents' abuse let alone when their community is being violated by a networked group of extremely wealthy and powerful criminal pedophiles who are patronizing this- pedophiles with the specialized knowledge of military style torture and mind control techniques and the ability to use their employed function of "national security" to harm children's bodies and minds to put forth propaganda in the news, to make records and witnesses disappear, all to prevent their own public exposure years down the road of their illegal activities to sexually harm these children- on US soil,- against US citizens and their children, -against our very own children no less.

Thank you for breaking the cycle and the silence, David.

It took me a long time before starting this book to finally found myself being so happy I bought it and gave this author a chance.

Being easily disturbed with very graphic scene of child abuse, I was afraid to read too many of those.
The author, Mr Shurter, don't go in too much details and it was just perfect for me.
The book is about his journey after those events, as an adult. So much more interesting to me.

The writing is so well done I could almost picture myself listening to Mr Shurter telling his stories over a cup of coffee!

A brilliant read of a sad, sad story, one of those books you try to put down but then convince yourself to read just one more chapter.

I wish him the best life have to offer, he truly deserved some peaceful time.

I have never felt compelled to write a review on Amazon before but this is by far and say the worst book I have ever read. I purchased as part of ongoing research into SRA with an open mind, hoping for a first hand account that would serve as a good starting point for, if not a grounding to the the other side of the argument (e.g That satanic panic has its basis it real life occurrences), then as a personal first person narrative of experience, whether fantasy or reality, it wouldn't matter so much as long as the person who has had the experience deems it to be real.

What I got was an unconstructed, unsubstantiated rant mainly concerning the writers own self diagnosed 'extreme personal intelligence' which apparently allowed him to outwit and outsmart multiple pedophiles, torturers and the US government's mind control (including ray guns) and the exploration of his sexuality. Although certainly there were some extremely unpleasant going-ons in Omaha which have been elsewhere documented, there is nothing in this book to support the evidence of SRA. The only solid 'evidence' that the author is able to bring forth are some furious, David Icke-esque emails written to one of those accused of the cover up..written by the author.

Apart from that the author's evidence for SRA being rampant in Omaha are little more than the old 'teapot made of jam circling the moon' conomdrum - you can't prove it isn't true, there for it must be. I can't prove that the author didn't witness ritual sacrifices of hundreds of children, burnt people alive in his basement, can read minds or indeed that (so he claims) he was born to be the antichrist but luckily decided to become a shaman instead (phew for us!) but I'm going to with my feelings about the teapot and ..probably not.

I enjoyed this book as the subject interests me greatly for a multitude of reasons. Nobody could make this up as it is so disturbing, so intriguing and so sad. What happened to the author, his siblings and so many other children was monstrous, so evil it eats you up and, towards the end of the book, you feel as though you have got to know the author and I was amazed at how he (and others) have managed to piece their lives back together after so much childhood trauma and abuse. This book is no fairytale and no easy read, I was in tears and felt anger and shock and horror at times, anger that these 'men' and 'women' - evil incarnate - got away with their perverted twisted and vulgar acts for so long, obviously many did get away with it and are probably old and still rich now but it must be eating away at their souls and they will pay in some way or form for their actions. I couldn't put this book down as it is written simply and honestly and you don't get many books like that these days. Highly recommended.

I'm very seldom lost for words when doing a review and normally the only time I stop reading a book is because it complete rubbish, but for the first time, I've had to stop reading a book because it's just too painful, too graphic, too upsetting.

I've read the One Star reviews and wonder if they've been asked to write them to stop people from believing the author's stories of his abuse as a child and what he witnessed.

Unfortunately, Satanism does exist. The rituals they use are real. People taking part in Satanism are from all walks of life.

My only advice about reading this book would be; "Are you mentally strong enough to hear this man's story?"

it's an entertaining book, but he has some very daft religion beliefs; that he can go in a trance state and release his dead father to 'the other side' by some sort of shaman power.. silly me thinks.. and even more silly.. was able to set a fallen angel free, uriel, who he'd been taught to believe in as a child, with his occultish parents; seems to be continuing with occult type fantasies. Not really enough evidence given for the alleged childhood abuse (as regards organised satanic abuse) and most of it was about his rampant activities as an adult. But it's well worth the kindle price.
