This is yet another reason why I love to read Lynn Raye Harris' books. I know when I pick one up that I will be treated to a great story that will have me not wanting to say goodbye to the couple.

Dangerously Hot brought together Lucky, the widow of a former HOT teammate, and his best friend, Kev. Reading this one was kind of interesting, mainly because I'm currently writing a story with a similar bases. Even though the stories go in completely different directions, there were some similarities, including the guilt Kev feels about his feelings toward Lucky.

As with all of Lynn Raye Harris' characters, I loved Kev and Lucky together. They brought out the best in each other and it was so clear from the beginning that there was more than friendship there, even though neither wanted to admit it at first.

One of the ways I can tell I loved a book is that when I finish it I immediately want to go back and re-read my favorite scenes. That was definitely the case with this one.

If you're looking for a sexy romantic suspense novel with hot military men, I would highly recommend this one.

Absolutely awesome!........USA Today and NYT bestselling author Lynn Rae Harris has written another winner in book 4 as she brought to the table another Hot and sexy military romantic suspense. Impossible to put down from beginning to end!............Its been nearly two years since former Army linguist Lucky San Ramos barely escaped with her life after being kidnapped and tortured by an evil terrorist leader during her captivity, and unfortunately the scars on her skin are a constant reminder that she's the only person in existence who could identify the world's most wanted man presumed to be dead. Now her tormentor is back from the grave, including the sexy Special black ops soldier she once loved. Ordered by his superiors to bring Lucky back from Hawaii, HOT operative Kevin "Big Mac" MacDonald was reminded of the last time he rescued her from the evil clutches of the cold-hearted terrorist, and then reluctantly walked away when he couldn't be what she needed. When Lucky married his best friend and teammate, Kev knew it was for the best even though it consumed him with guilt and regrets for giving up the only woman he's ever wanted, but now, Marco is alive and Lucky is no longer safe. When Kev and Lucky join forces to capture the one man she could never erase from her concurring nightmares, they'll have to pretend to be married on a dangerously hot military mission in an already war-torn nation, and unfortunately for them, time is running out. As they probe deeper into the mission, Kev and Lucky will not only find themselves fighting against forbidden desires at night, but playing a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with a sadistic psychopath during the day as well!......

I love books about Seals and this one was great. I was on the edge of my seat so many times. I wanted to get in the book and kick some butt too! I felt so bad that Lucky had been held hostage and left scarred physically as well as mentally by an evil terrorist. She ended up marrying Marcos one of the HOT team members and he ended up getting killed. Kevin—Big Mac—who was Marcos best friend had feelings for Lucky too, but he didn’t feel like he was good enough for her and pushed her towards Marcos. The government thought the terrorist that had held Lucky hostage was dead, but they had intel he was alive and causing trouble. Unfortunately Lucky is the only one who has briefly seen his face and knows his voice. She is brought into the team unwillingly to help find him. I loved that Lucky and Kevin had to pretend to be married when they went overseas to find the terrorist as it pushed them together. I could see how hard it was on them to be so close together and still keep their minds on their task. I can’t begin to imagine what Lucky was feeling when she thought about facing that evil man again. There were secrets that came out that helped both of them to heal. The suspense at times on the mission had me trying to read faster to find out what was going to happen. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Military Romance

Finally, a heroine that doesn't fall in the TSTL category! Lucky is a former military member whose language skills are in high demand. She is athletic, skilled, and brave.

What was less enjoyable is the back story between the two characters. The lead up makes you think there must have been a huge romance, when in fact they shared one kiss after Kevin rescued Lucky from a terrorist. Knowing he is a man-ho, Kevin turns Lucky over to Marco who is more of a white picket fence type guy. Yes, it is the "I am not worthy" trope.

"Kevin had spent years thinking about her, months calling her, and hours fantasizing about kissing her again. He still didn’t know why he’d kissed her, except that he’d been so damn relieved she was alive. He’d been the one to find her, and in those few moments before the other guys arrived, she’d clung to him." This is the basis for their whole connection. An adrenaline-filled kiss when she realizes she is not going to die and kisses the first guy she sees. His lack of feeling worthy and her 'what if' thoughts are repeated too often.

Lucky is dragged back into service because she has seen a terrorist's face once briefly and MIGHT be able to recognize his face or his face. She is the only person in the WORLD who might be able to identify this man before he brings down the Middle East.

The book has only one glaring error where her younger siblings, a set of triplets repeatedly mentioned, morph into twins.

I skipped the novellas in the series (Books 3 and 4) without any detriment. The author uses the epilogue in this novel to set up the next story. 3.5 stars rounded to 4.

Lucinda 'Lucky' San Ramos (nee Reid), is a former army linguist. After her last stint with HOT, (Hostile Operations Team), she was captured and tortured by terrorist Al Ahmad, the leader of a group called 'Freedom Force'. HOT member, Kevin 'Big Mac' MacDonald, is one of the first on the scene of her rescue and a faint bond is forged between them but he walks away and pushes her into the arms of his best friend and colleague, whom she marries.
A few years on she's now widowed and her services are needed again as the only living survivor to identify the head man...whom everyone believed dead.
An ok read written in the third person so you can get into the heads of the leads and the feared terrorist but the author spent too much time riding the guilt and forcing a connection/romance between the couple. A great potential for a storyline but kinda predictable. Hot, gorgeous womanizer, crappy childhood, doesn't believe he deserves a 'good' woman, sticks to one nighters, joins the army to save the world blah blah blah. She's scarred and broken, doesn't 'fit' anywhere, portrayed as strong and feisty but actually falls into the category of whiny and needy. Nothing I haven't read before unfortunately.

Lucky San Ramos left working with HOT the same time she lost her husband. She got close to the world’s most deadly man, a man who she assumed was dead……. Turns out he has returned and HOT need her help to bring him down. But by returning to the team she is also returning to the one man who makes her blood boil and her heart hammer against her chest.
Kevin ‘Big Mac’ MacDonald loves his job with the HOT team; however during one of their missions where they lost 2 team mates he lost his best friend, Marco. Marco was married to the one women Big Mac wanted but because he didn’t deem himself worthy, stood aside for Marco to have her instead.
Now they are back working alongside each other to bring down the world’s deadliest terrorist. Question is can they work together and not let their emotions and attraction for each other get in the way.
This is a great addition to the HOT series and with each book you fall more in love with those Alpha men.

Yet again another great story. This is lucky and Kevin's story. Longer than the previous two. I love reading these in order it's like a mini series running in my head. Kevin is a taciturn man for a reason, he learned from a very young age to keep his guard up and trust no one. He is a formidable force and a valued member of this close knit team. Lucky was his best friends wife, he loved both of them with a passion but Marco died in the field at the hands of a terrorist and Kevin felt guilty about surviving. Lucky was a tortured soul in more ways than one but she holds the key to not only Kevin's heart but to the identity of a terrorist. HOT needs her back and Mendez will use his considerable talent to acquire her. Its up to Kevin to convince her to come back voluntarily. Loved it. Great value. I'm off to read the next one AGAIN

bk 4 of 7 (bk 8 due out mid June 2015) REALLY enjoyed this storyline, not only a romance but also an action packed military adventure/mission. With each novel the reader gets closer and closer to the Team. In this novel you feel part of that team, biting nails, feeling of excitement, gloom and pain. But oh, so well worth it. I do love the storylines when the team is on missions set abroad. The detail of their surround area etc is great and adds to the readers inclusion.

Loved this next installment in the hot series. Kev and Lucky's story is a really great read. Exciting, gripping, sad, saucy, and easy to lose yourself in. If you like hot alpha males, military, suspense, and women fighting back this is the book for you. If you like a well written, enthralling romantic story, where two damaged souls find each other (finally) although part of a series, can be read as a standalone, this is for you. Looking for a new author to try, this is definitely for you!! Enjoy, this is a must read by Lynn Raye Harris
