Are certain people inherently evil or are they a product of their environment? That’s the premise behind Wayward Son. The proverbial nature versus nurture argument. I’m not going to post spoilers or give a summary of the book, just take my word for it that the author examined both sides of the idea in this book as the characters attempt to alter criminals’ personalities through experiential learning.
Perhaps the strongest part of this book was the dialogue. It was as if I were listening to a conversation, not a writer trying to write about a conversation. In fact, I think it may be the most naturally flowing dialogue that I’ve ever read.
I loved the book. Absolutely loved it. Great job all around.
