Every criticism I've had about the first book is gone. I'm writing this review at 4am because I didn't dare put it down. There's not a whole lot else I can say; this has everything.
You will feel charmed by the characters. You will feel gripped by the action sequences. You will feel curious about the sights and sounds replaying over and over again in the theatre of your mind. But most importantly, you will feel this book grab you by the shirt, pull you in, and make you question your very essence. Never before have I experienced a story in any medium that made me wonder what it meant to be.
Who knows, maybe I'm just a sucker for some inside jokes. Maybe I'm just hoping to relate to the author in some bizarre six-degrees kind of way. Or maybe, just maybe, I need Quantum to understand what it means, so I can be shown. It is 4am, after all, so these delusional ramblings may just be a sign of exhaustion. I'd like to think otherwise. That all people have these burning desires and questions, be they NPC or otherwise.
