This book was fantastic. I love Science fiction and often get my hands on as much of it as I can. This book was awesome as the writer D D Godley paints a vivid picture with great imagery on a new take on Alien's and invasions. It's been a while since I have come across a good original one and this one is it! The story got better each page so it goes without saying this is a page turner for sure! As soon as I finished this one I was so happy to see part 2 had just came out and I read it Immediately and lets just say you won't be disappointed :)
This was a new take on the aliens are here to get us theme. I have always agreed that the end of the human race would be our own fault so I find this book to be a new possibility. And, it just shows human nature as usual, that the humans to be the ones to break the link. I can't wait to see if we can learn or if we are doomed by our own savage nature. I like a book that opens my mind to new ideas, possibilities and causes me to ponder the true nature of our world.
WOW! Just wow! I loved this two-book series. What interesting questions they pose--questions that will stay with me for a long time.
This isn't what I normally read, but I was invested in the characters from the very beginning and the story quickly became a page-turner! interesting perspective (since all we seem to have is our own!).
This is a relatively shot book to read but packed with excitement. At first it goes back and forward in years then it all comes together. See if you think what I am thinking as in “Eden”? I wonder if that is a concept the author might be thinking. Now I gotta go get the newt book to see what happens. I highly recommend this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! The pacing was great: there was never a moment where I felt the narrative was simply plodding along until the next exciting part. The author really captured my imagination and did not let go, revealing just enough to leave me in eager anticipation of the next entry in the series which promises to be huge.
I got this book and the next one in the series free. I would have given it another star, but I was really annoyed by the bad editing. Supposedly it was professionally edited, but it doesn't show. Whoever edited it has a lot to learn about punctuation (especially the use of commas), paragraph breaks, and a few other desirable things. The writing was good, but not good enough to rate 5 stars. It would have been nice to learn more about what happened to the missing teenagers. Perhaps that's coming in the next book. I do intend to read the next one but am not in a hurry to do so.
What happens if an alien life form put humans in charge of protecting all of life creatures on Earth. They monitored our stewardship for 50,000 years and now aren’t happy with the results. What options do they have to rectify their mistake? The author does a great job enrolling us in this idea. Can’t wait for episode two.
I did enjoy reading this book however, I think is was more like a short story or novella. Looking at the fact that it is part of a series, it reads like an extended chapter. But it has a rather hurried end. It started so well and the suspense was building well. Then no real closure. I would read the whole book if he. Ever expanded the story and fills in the holes. The premise is very interesting. You are a good writer, please complete this one.
