5.0 out of 5 starsGreat Book

The Tom Robbins quote on the cover drew me in, but Vigorito has a style all his own, it's super fun, and entertaining with just the right amount of mysticism/philosophy/spirituality. Enjoy it on a beach.

Tony Vigorito is right up there with Vonnegut, Palahnuik and Adams when it comes to my favorite authors. His writing makes you think, it'll make you laugh, it is simply brilliant. I almost found it annoying with how often i had to stop reading to write down YET ANOTHER funny quote that deserved space in my quote collection book.
Not everyday, you come across a book that takes the reader on journey from the beginning of time to the present in such away that leaves you in awe of its writing, style, and choice of words. Page after page I am just blown away by the language and the concepts revealed therein. And if the Mobiüs band on the cover is any indication, let it be known that you yourself will go along this journey and emerge on the same side, but not the same. A truly wild ride, as Tom Robbins says, and what a ride it is....
I can only say WOW! without any doubt this is on of the top 3 novels I have ever read, and there is many and I mean many of them...
So do yourself a favor and just buy this book, sit back open your mind, and enjoy being inspired, provoked, rattled, and laugh out loud uncontrollably as I did so so many times...:)
I bought all three of Vigorito’s novel on the recommendation of one of my favorite writers. The first two I slogged through. This one is his most recent and clearly his best. The first two were okay, but too filled with character dialogue that explained too much philosophy of life that I didn’t understand nor cared to understand. In the third, I cared what they thought. More importantly I cared what happened to them.
I feel fortunate to have tried this very well written, fun to read, interesting tale. I will be buying and reading Mr. Vigorito's other two books, and hopefully, by the time I finish those, he will have a 4th one available.
Easily Vigorito's best novel so far. It's full of hip characters, plot twists and plenty of philosophical wisdom to mull over. It tells the story of two couples -- one in the age of piracy and one modern -- (or is it one couple living different lives?) and romps all over the Spanish Main and San Francisco, with a cast that includes a mad former British admiral bent on revenge, a treasure map, a whacked-out band of yoga freaks and their con-artist guru. Oh, and nectar.

The characters were all great. I particularly enjoyed the villains Ivan and Goldtooh. Portagonists Crow and Flaming Jane, Merlin and Lila, were also a trip. As good as Christopher Moore or Neil Gaiman but different style. The use of adjectives is unusual but fun.
