I liked the story but did not feel that all three characters were equal in the relationship. Drew did not seem as attracted to Eric, which was my favorite character. Drew praised Bryce sexually, from his dominance to the size of his member, but never spoke as enthusiastically about Eric. However, he was surprised that Eric will bottom? Even his mother "adored" Bryce. Why Bryce, Eric was the one that saved Drew and let him live at his house! I felt like Drew took advantage of Eric or maybe was grateful to him, but clearly preferred Bryce. I did feel stronger about Bryce and Eric and at some point thought that Drew's role was actually to bring them together. I did notice that not once in the story Drew said "I love you" to either Eric or Bryce; which makes me wonder if Drew's true love is still to come. After all Drew is really young and his journey may not be over. As long as Eric and Bryce remain together I don't really care if Drew finds a new love in a future book.

We know all about Drew and Eric from the first two books of this series ("Wild Pitch" and "Curve Ball"), as well as a little bit about Bryce from the second book.
Drew (on the cover), a 24-year-old who plays for the Milwaukee Mavericks, and Eric, a 35-year-old who was traded the previous season from the Mavericks to Seattle, share Eric's massive Milwaukee home. Bryce, who was a sort of grief counsellor for Jason, a 28-year-old Milwaukee Maverick who is one of the protagonists in "Curve Ball" (the other, Cam, is Drew's life-long buddy), get transferred from Portland, Oregon, to Milwaukee, to clean up the mess in the local chapter of the national LGBT safe house non-profit for which he works.
That is the beginning of a very strongly played dance of attraction which turns into the triple play of the title--and some of it is flawless and some of it a bit overplayed and some of it clumsy. But what saves this book is that all the other characters from the previous books--and a couple of new ones, one bad and one superlatively good--are back and the "family" they have formed saves the day time after time.
There's a very sweet and surprising ending, and you just hope one of those characters comes back (apparently he does in the next book), and even though the baseball bits are far less in this one, it's a nice game anyway.
5.0 out of 5 starsThis series just keeps getting better

It is no secret, my love for the m/m romance genre. I will read it till the cows come home.
But Ms Johnson has upped the ante with Triple Play - with a m/m/m romance.
I have died and gone to m/m romance heaven!
My heart broke for Drew in Curve Ball as we saw his best friend and guy he has loved forever fall in love with another man. Eric had been in the same place before he was traded to another team. Bryce previously met Drew and a connection was made, but no more was expected.
When events throw this trio together, you just know that things are going to get exciting.
Man do they heat up! You could feel the sexual tension bouncing off the walls!
You can feel Drew's confusion over his feelings for two men.
You can feel the frustration of all three men as they try to work out their "relationship".
But most of all, you can feel the love between all three men.
There are some super hot sexy times - oh to be in Ms Johnson's head as she puts these scenes together! Can I bring the vodka and popcorn and watch?
Ms Johnson also delved deeper into the LGBT world than she has done in the previous books.
I loved that we got more of the boys from the first two books - Sean and Mason, happily married and raising Mason's boy Asher. Like a peeping tom spying through the curtains, I loved getting a glimpse into their married life.
And we also get more of Jason and Cam's story -they are quite big players in Drew's life, so it was great to find out what happened after the end of Curve Ball - particularly with Cam.
Ms Johnson has quickly become one of my must reads in the m/m genre, and I can't wait to see what she brings us next.
An exciting addition to the series. I loved Triple play. It is the story of Eric, Drew and Bryce and the struggle and determination of coming together and making a relationship work. I loved every part of this book, there were parts that were hard to read ( Drew's situation)but it was worth every bit. The other guys, Cam, Jason , Mason, Sean and the rest of the crew from previous books in the series made this story more enjoyable. New characters like Cody who I came to adore were introduced and I am hoping he gets his story told soon. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
What an amazing conclusion to the series. I loved the dynamics between Drew, Bryce and Eric as well as reading about Cam and Jason and Sean and Mason and how all these men lives progressss. The scenes were hot which was expected. I loved how even though this series revolved around baseball there was more meaning to this story. The support Drew gave to Cody. Changing the lIves of not just one person butany others as well. I was sad to see this come to an end. I look forward to reading more about the guys hoping Sloan Johnson finds a way to continue. You will not be disappointed at all with any one of these books in the series. They get better and better.
5.0 out of 5 starsAmazing continuation of one of my favourite series!!

Sports romance books are up there as my favourite genre and I particularly love this series by Sloan Johnson. In this book we meet up with characters from previous books and to get the most out of it I would say to read the books in series order, however it could be read as a standalone but you wouldn't connect as fully with the characters. This book is a M/M/M book. Sloan always manages to make me fall hard for her leading men. Drew found a place quickly in my heart, as he seems so innocent, loving and real. I even enjoyed his tantrums when he doesn't get his own way or when people fuss over him. This makes him very real. The connection between Drew, Bryce and Eric is palpable and passionate. Can they make it work, will other people's prejudice get in their way? I won't spoil it by giving you the answer but I will tell you to one click this wonderful 5 star read!!!

I love this series. I came for the baseball but stayed for the family feels! I wasn't 100% sure about this one at points. I would have loved to have seen more intimate moments of the trios relationship rather then more sex but overall I found it enjoyable. A couple of questions were left unanswered but I'm hoping they'll be cleared up in the rest of the series.

What an amazing book I actually wasn't sure I was going to like this as threesomes are not really my thing however this was written in a way that didn't make you feel it revolved around that.Eric Drew and Bryce are three great guys that come together perfectly they just fit.I have loved this series and hope we are going to see Cody's story next

I loved the polyamerous relationship with the first two books I didn't know how you were going to give the three remaining characters their stories all in one book from the beginning it was easy to see how they were going to be there was a instant chemistry between Bryce and Drew and when they both looked at Eric it was easy to read the overall attraction brilliant

I read this in one sitting as I couldn't wait to see drew and Eric's story. I even had a couple of tears when Eric made certain choices. I hope we get to see Cody s story and stones, but also the nurse who helped drew in the beginning as I kept waiting for him to make a reappearance.
