Again, I could not put this book down! The prologue picks up where The Awakening left off, which is so what I wanted. Breanna is such a strong character--someone who has worked hard to find herself. To know where she has come from and see her develop, especially with her abilities, made me love her even more. Then she meets Ethan. Ethan, himself, has come through quite a bit, having been shot by a sniper. He thinks he will only be home long enough to recover, but then he meets Brea. They have had dreams of each other. Ethan also has certain abilities. Once they meet, their own sparks fly. However, the dreams and abilities are heightened, too. By the end of the book, I thought I knew what was going to happen. I just need the next book--RIGHT NOW!!!! LOVED IT!!!

Breanna "Brea" Garrett, an investigative journalist in Atlanta was excited about her day at her dream job as head news anchor but things didn't got as she expected. Instead she found herself nearly a hundred miles away in the small town of Hidden Creek in an attempt to keep her job.
Breanna always had strange flashes, she would dream of future events. She kept seeing a dark-haired woman with the green eyes (Xtina).
Upon arriving in Hidden Creek, Brea learned a lot about Christina. She realized that Chris saw the real deal, Brea can to know that she possessed teleportation abilities. She thought she could leave Hidden Creek only to find out that town is where she belonged.
Ethan Kincaid, a squad leader in the Special Forces had always have an insight of things to come, he used to think it was pure luck but he soon found out that it was much mire than a gut feeling. His foresight help save his brother Michael's life more than once. Ethan had been having some steamy dreams of a silver-eyed woman.
After his last mission went bad and he found himself injured. Ethan was back in the States on a six months recuperation leave, he went to stay with Michael (THE AWAKENING). While there Ethan saw the woman aka the "entity" as Xtina called her.
When Xtina, Mike, Jessie, Jacob, Brea and Ethan finally got in one room, I loved how all the pieces were coming together now that the six of them were all in Hidden Creek.
Turned out that the woman they all were seeing was none other than Brea's dead aunt Misty. Not only could Ethan see her, he also could hear her which was crazy cause that has never happened before.
Ethan was hurt to find out about Jacob from Mike and not their parents which was understandable. Since coming back to Hidden Creek things have changed for him. He met his dream girl and the brother he didn't know existed.
Jacob and Jessie no matter how hard they tried to act like they hated each other. The deep connection between them tethered their souls.
Ethan and Brea gave into their feelings for each other. They were both similar in so many ways. They worked together to help Brea to control her abilities.
The more the chosen six tried to find out out about what really happened to Misty, the more they uncovered some things they didn't know about their parents.
Love the bond between the Kincaid brothers even though Mike and Ethan didn't grow up with Jacob. They've come to love him and vice versa.
Jess and Brea had their lives turned upside down but the rest of the gang was right there by their sides. There were some things Brea had to do on her own even if it meant leaving Ethan behind.
THE BECKONING is book 2 in Jill Sanders' ENTANGLED series. It was mind-blowing, steamy, fast-paced and intriguing. Jill Sanders did a phenomenal job, this series just keeps getting better. 5 amazing stars.
P. S. That cliffhanger just about ripped my heart out 😢...Can't wait for the next book in the series...THE ASCENSION!

I won't summarize the story. If you are reading book 2 you already know. If you haven't read book 1, don't even bother with 2 yet. Go back and buy the first book, The Awakening first. I really like that it was picked up right where book 1 left off. We are getting some answers to the questions brought up in book 1 but really, it creates more questions. The new additions to the group, Brea and Ethan ( i like Ethan better than Mike, sorry Mike) were well written and liked. Who the "ghost" is was answered but still a lot of questions weren't answered and/or created. I have read other Jill Sanders books, West Series, so I know this is a bit of a turn for her. I am a huge fan of the more sci fi and paranormal books and the world building in them so I give her credit for building the traits in these 6 individuals.I think it can still use a bit of work but overall it's still good. Two of my biggest issues is the parents are never held to answer anything. They are always like oh well, tomorrow... The 2nd is the passing out. In the 1st book it really annoyed me that Xtina (which I can't stand that name, nobody would be called that and I can't read it) keeps passing out everywhere, grocery store, home, Mikes, the silo. She's lived with her abilities forever so I would hope she would be written as a character strong enough to cope with them, even if they are unexpected contact. She is also the unrecognized leader. I wanted her to be stronger, not her beau coming to "save" her every time. Then in the 2nd book Ethan keeps passing out. Come on. Stop It! I think both Xtina and, especially Ethan are more than capable and strong enough of dealing. That is my only critique. Overall I can't wait to read book 3. Hopefully my anguish at the end of 2 will be made better.

Thrilling adventure, very entertaining read with a story that grabs your immediate attention and does not let go. Looking forward to the next book in this series to find out what happens to this exciting group.
A Journey that thrusts Breanna into a new and strange world with some very interesting people. Ethan is the one new person on this adventure that she feels she has known forever since he seems to arrive straight from her dreams. Action, danger, suspense and the testing of family and friendships this story has it all.

Holy moly.... What did the parents do so long ago that Brea has faded away... Who did the unthinkable to Misty. Jill did another amazing story with this again leaving me ready to read the next in the series. Everyone that loves reading, needs this series!
What an awesome series that Jill Sanders has written. I was drawn in from the first and can't wait to read the next book. All of the characters and their families are slowly telling us the story. So excited to see the next book. Awesome writing and perfect ending to keep us waiting and lots of hints to keep us thinking.
