After hearing Dr. Bell in a TV interview and a Ted Talk, I really wanted to read this book! It outlines in common sense terms how to meet your goals to live a more fulfilling life in a practical, yet inspiring way. As a school counselor, I used the Four Cornerstones of Success from Dr. Bell as a resource guide to try to educate the parents of my students on how they can teach their children to recover, and even thrive, when faced with adversity. However, it quickly became apparent that the parents themselves were benefitting from the wisdom and insight from Dr. Bell's framework. This is a book you will read quickly, yet reference again and again as you navigate through the twists and turns called life. It will also be one you'll most likely loan to a friend in need of a stimulus for encouragement.
Me We Do Be: The Four Cornerstones of Success
Me/We/Do/Be is one of the best books I have ever read. Dr. Bell did a huge research project interviewing thousands of people. He then correlated their levels of happiness and "success" with their various habits. For instance, my favorite was "Do you make your bed each day?" Dr. Bell said that your mother was right. Making your bed is a really good thing! I already knew that.
In this book, Dr. Bell cites examples, results of his survey and then often ends with a stirring quotation to drive home his point.
The book is an easy read but may change your life for the better. I strongly suggest reading this book. It is excellent.

Dr. Bell’s book is simple and yet profound. It points out easy ways, that are often overlooked or forgotten, to get life on the path desired. The fact that he uses personal anecdotes is resoundingly helpful because it gives first hand account of these theories and ideas actually working. This then is coupled with the immense research to back it all up. Usually I dislike “self-help” books because they’re so painfully obvious. But Dr. Bell seems to live a life we all dream of - scuba diving, mountain climbing, invitations to shows and flashy friends - but his authenticity and drive for success (And not just monetary) jumps off the pages. He’s not smarmy or smug or showy. He gives back as much as he seems to win. He makes me feel as though his lifestyle is attainable and within reach if I follow his advice and keep regimented. And just when I think I can’t possibly do all these things and it’s hopeless, a quick turn of the page reveals a guide to getting started. It teaches to not reach too far, too quickly, but to prioritize and focus and keep yourself grounded. When you pay attention to the four cornerstones of your very being, you can achieve anything. I’m inspired and impressed and encouraged. -Katie

This is not a book you read once and put on the shelf. The tools in this book make it necessary for your nitestand, briefcase, purse, desk, car. Do not be afraid to mark up this book, you will not want to rid of it. Keep it with you and practice the easy to follow life changing patterns that Randell outlines. These are not suggestions but proven and practiced lifestyles that will make you a cornerstone of your future and your new success.!
This is a great book that talks about important life practices she having that would enrich someone's life. The book goes into why certain practices are recommended as well as this on how to incorporate each new skill into your daily practices.
Several thought provoking examples are sprinkler throughout the book. One in particular that I appreciated was about first responders. Even though first responders deal with stressful situations daily, they walk, not run into the scene of a crisis. This allows them to thoroughly assess the situation so they can be of the most help to others. This is an attitude that can be emulated in our daily lives by remaining aware of the overall situation when stressed.

Me We Do Be is a mentor for anyone seeking guidance on how to live a successful life. It puts emphasis on building good habits and the power that they possess in taking us where we want to go.
It is well organized and follows a flow that breaks the different areas of our lives that deserve great attention in order to elevate ourselves past natural plateaus. It even gives practical tips, like drinking a full glass of water before sitting down to eat if you are trying to eat less.
Overall, a great read and highly recommended to anyone looking for practical tools and inspiration to improve themselves, their relationship, and their attitude.

I bought this book on my wife's account. It is a great read. I am in a similar field as a real estate appraiser in potential damage cases so I find Dr. Bell's career experiences extremely fascinating. One negative reviews I read mentioned the advice to believe in a higher being. Personally, I took this as an example of how this mindset can be helpful rather than someone pushing religion on anyone. For my life, it was great to see so much emphasis on making time for family and tips on how to be more productive by taking time to rest your mind. The book inspired me to keep reaching out to as many resources as possible and to never stop learning.
