The storyline keeps drawing you into the experiences of Richard and those around him. I can't wait to see how Jeena and Richard finally meet. And with the crew of the Defiant Richard's quest becomes more important to this magic and mundane universe. The characters are all changing and developing their own personalities as each has a different experience arising from Richard's trials. An excellent read. Great action. And am enthralled with Nickelo, the smart-assed battlecomp and closest friend Richard has. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next update to the intergalactic wizard.

Each book can be read as a standalone but as a whole, they combine to a complex and rich tapestry that I love. A good solid story, but i expected more from it. It answered several questions from previous books. The storyline was interesting and showed that the next book should be the last in the series.
Some serious background political manoeuvring is highlighted in the book and our Wizard Scout hero needs to start learning how to read and survive in this type of war.
