The American Civil War was the most deadly and probably the defining event of American history, even more than the War of Independence. I have never read such a comprehensive book on American Civil War before I got this book. Today we can say that few events in American history impacted this country like the Civil War. Author describes the stages through American history has gone through till President Johnson officially ends Civil War in 1865. A must read book in the contemporary situation.
It’s always better to know the history of our country. It’s interesting to learn histories of other countries. This book is quite interesting which will remind us of a noted event in American history. I will surely recommend this to the younger ones so they will know about this event in the history. This is really an informative one and a good read indeed.
I concede to the author’s statement that civil war was the most deadly and probably the defining event of American history. As you read through the book you could witness the different battles fought and different revolutions just to obtain freedom and end slavery. I have read several history books of James Weber and I do admire the way he presents history facts in a brief, chronological, interesting and reader friendly manner. Two thumbs up for him!
So many important events have been covered in this book. This brings us to the beginning of the bloodiest military conflict and how they fought for victory. This book will be well appreciated by history lovers for it is so detailed and I guess it didn’t miss any significant information relating to historical battles in America. Indeed this is a perfect book for anyone wanting to widen their knowledge about history.
This book try to help us understand the Civil War, why it brought great damage to civilization. This book provides detailed information about the true reason for this to happen exactly the Liberation war stories and accounts of the battle with me. This is one of the best histories I have ever read--rich in narrative detail, scrupulously researched, and a remarkable companion piece to visiting the historical sites.

Between the incomplete sentences and incorrect words, both of which are frequent, the segments of the book quickly becomes impossible to understand. I question the historical accuracy of some of the writing - I would have appreciated more references. This almost seems like an overgrown, not very good high school history project. I suggest trying some other history of the American civil war.
This book is a good read. I had fun reading this book because the content was pure value and there wasn't any fluff. I learned a lot about the 50 Civil War Events and this book encompassed all the information I was looking for. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn the same!
