This is best enjoyed when the series is read in order. This story has everything I really enjoy in a book, humor, action, suspense, strong characters, paranormal elements, and steamy romance. I enjoyed this story even more than I did the first book and I didn't think that was possible. Astrid is a strong warrior and doesn't become a completely different person just because she meets a man. Luke has just as many secrets as Astrid, but luckily the reader knows both their secrets from the start. The story is a wild ride as the romance unfolds and major story arc continues. This ends with a HEA after Astrid and Luke and while there isn't a cliff hanger ending, the major confict isn't over yet.

Oh, these 2 were were fun. Luke is trying to avenge his family and Astrid is trying to figure out life and ensure her place within her fellow warriors. They are HOT together! The secondary characters added to the story and I'm looking forward to reading all of theirs.
I love the "family" feel and how they are dedicated to each other.
After reading the first story, I had to purchase this one immediately and start it. Another great read!
