I am very disappointed in this book. It started out okay, but then the author just started comparing President Bush and Donald Trump to Stalin himself and his tactics. Oh, come on! It would have been a much better book if the author would have just kept his personal opinions to himself. As a factual book, it was just alot of compiling off of other books. There was alot of information to get to and it just kept slamming into you without a chance to absorb what you just learned. If it would have gone into more detail or told better, I might have given it a higher rating. Too bad, because this could have been a good read.
I feel I was tricked into buying this piece of human refuse of a book. Bad spelling, words that don't mean anything, Stalin /Staling, Engels / Engles, and other obvious mistakes that shows the carelessness of this writer. If he doesn't care about writing properly, Why should I care to read this compilation of quotes and appropriations from other sources?
This author is very anti- bush and Trump. Equating Stalin's mass killing to the rhetoric of both of these republicans. The fact that the present and soon to be First Lady president use the same propaganda as both Stalin and the Republicans slips the authors preview ! I would have given this book more credibility if it was focused on Stalin and not trying to politicize this current election. Although I did learn much of the Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin. The book is repetitive, but good for retention. -R
This "book" even used as a reference, is worthless. Klein did a fair amount of research only to regurgitate it virtually number by number and word for word while striving to draw parallels to Lenin and Stalin and modern day Republicans.
The next time Klein decides to write a book about an historical figure, he should concentrate on the figure and not his own political views.
Not the clearest writing style and a bit repetitive in organization. Very informative with good command of the subject matter. I enjoyed the author's off the cuff commentary. Wonder if grammar and typos are a function of translating book electronically. There seems to be many in everything I'm reading on kindle.
