How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I have a finished manuscript I transcribed from tapes of an old Merchant Marine's life.
People have suggested that I add narration to his story. By reading Mr. Lowe's book, I now which direction to take. I am very glad that I found this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Information

I found this book to be extremely helpful. Although there were a couple of things that weren't really clear such as the steps to take in creating a publisher name and the steps involved in actually getting ISBN numbers, with a little work and following the links he provided you can get the answers needed. I loved this book and highly recommend it for all serious writers

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Value, I feel cheated

This book is a very simple and very basic guide. So simple in fact that it does not live up to its subtitle. I bought another book at the same time called CreateSpace & Kindle Self-Publishing Masterclass by Rick Smith for just a little more money. The Rick Smith book goes into far more detail, covers so much more on just Kindle and is excellent value for its content. 300 pages packed with easy to follow advice and tips. Richard G Lowe, Jr has produced a volume of 57 pages, in quite large print, wide spacing and an incredulous completely blank pages, some pages have hardly anything on them and it is sloppily edited. if you want bad reviews for your work, buy this book. it is a lesson in 'How NOT To...' I feel cheated, as I paid so much for what would probably amount to about 25 pages of mediocre guidance in a normally formatted book. He is not the Writing King he claims to be. He is making money from shoddy goods.

A good book very well laid out and things are simply explained. Even if you don't want to publish on kindle this book helps you to structure your writing more attractively.
