Rereading the reviews on this book - I must be missing something. This is the first book of Hunter's that I've read and I was disappointed. You may not be - but I was, I'll try and explain why.
This book may speak to individuals that are having difficulty or fears of stepping out of their comfort zones, to try and become leaders. I did not find it inspiring or motivating however, I found it dry and lacking believability. The examples and studies that were used seemed like simply anecdotes the author had come across and threw into a book - I did not find a common tie or thread through this book. Maybe that is on purpose, but it wasn't what I was looking for.
I bought this book based on the table of contents [Believe in Yourself, Build Confidence, Introduce Challenge, etc], I felt this was an excellent leadership mantra - simple, open and honest. However, I felt this read like a self-help book that rarely spoke of those that you're leading, with only basic advice.
I share this review because I was unfortunately disappointed on a book that had great reviews - you might not find this and this book may do you well. I can't recommend it for those with leadership experience.
