It was inspiring and thought provoking, especially in that it's the story of a family that although living apart, how prepared they were for a life changing EMP attack on our country and how they deal with it and the various circumstances they face to stay free and not lose all that they had to the starving and lawless hourds, as well as the fed's. Unfortunately LaVoy, the author was actually murdered by the various out of control "law enforcement agencies" because of his stand against the BLM and their attempted land grab centered at the Malhuer wild life preserve. I'm glad to say I have seen an unsealed indictment that ALL the perpetrators, and there are a lot, are on and so should be made to answer to the murder of an unarmed man who had his hands up! They shot him with some kind of "nonlethal round", which caused him to grab at his side, which anyone would, they they shot him in the back saying he was reaching for a gun. He was unarmed, except for a gun the planted on him, not his gun and not as he wore his gun when he was carrying. Most of these folks are going to be tried for this as well as the murders at Ruby Ridge Idaho years back and several other incidents like Waco. At least with President Trump there is a chance for justice. It's been a long time coming.
great book. Written by a great man who should never have been murdered in cold blood with his hands up by government sharpshooters in an ambush on his way to a public town hall meeting to talk about the government not honoring contracts that predate the blm.
Right at the top of the very best books I have ever read. Lavoy Finicum could have been right up there with the world's best authors if he hadn't been MURDERED by his own Government. This book is a work of fiction but backed by truth about Deep State Corruption!
This is definitely one of the best SHTF stories I've read this year. During a time when I became worried that there was no new original stories out there, this one is like a fresh breeze. I can definitely recommend this book to all lovers of the genre.
Having known LaVoy personally, i can see the main character was modeled after him. I read the whole book hearing LaVoy's voice every time Jake Bonham spoke. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Truly a must read! Cope Reynolds
