I must say I am extremely impressed this is Ms. Wilson's debut novel. I actually went back and double checked that I read that right as I was reading because the flow, and writing style, and detail had me thinking this was someone with a lot of books under her belt.
I'm so glad she came on my radar thanks to another fantastic author Penelope Douglas. Authors showing other authors love is always a wonderful thing.
I wasn't sure what to expect with Jay and Mia's story, and I was pleasantly surprised at their banter and their deep rooted friendship and bond. A friends to lovers book can go sideways pretty quickly, and Kivrin Wilson did a wonderful job walking the line between frustrating and perfect angst.
Mia was a breath of fresh air. I loved that she wasn't afraid to speak her mind and go for what she wants. While Jay was frustrating at times, he has a right to be guarded, and instead of being irritated with his up and down reasoning, and secrets, I found my heart really pulling of him to find his way to Mia.
I'm certainly looking forward to Paige and Logan's story. Something tells me it's going to be intense!
