K. L. Bone continues to mesmerize you with the beauty of the rainbow mountains. As you picture their glorious colors, the twins are continuing with their approach to the crown. One is stepping in and doing her duties as Queen. She is finding it difficult and her nightmares continue. The other twin is searching for her family history and spending some time with her Grandfather. Both the twins are finding out what really happened to bring their parents together and why their father was killed in revenge. The story doesn’t go without it’s surprises and jaw dropping turn of events. Every family has its secrets, but the twins family take the prize for it.
As I read on and digest the storyline, I realized that this probably happens to our very wealthy families today. The arranged marriage, dowry of the girls family and the misgivings of what the future may hold. But if you are the highest lord in the realm and can take out a kingdom with your army, then I guess you can say who you want your daughter to merry and make her a princess.
K. L. Bone, has a way of drawing you into her stories and making you a part of them. As you stand on the sidelines watching the storyline unfold, you find yourself feeling what the characters are feeling. You try to make sense of the situation and draw your own conclusions. As the storyline picks up speed, so do you. When a character is in tears, you are too. A really good writer/author will be able to do this and keep you sucked in throughout the whole book and she can do that. Now on to the next book!
