a great short story about angels and demons! and a great spin on demonic curses. I'm very intrigued and hope that more about this story comes out. I would definitely give those a read, I love any type of genre really and this on piqued my interest quite fast. can't wait to read more of Scythe!
I really enjoyed this short story - which is saying something as I tend to enjoy long stories much more than short. However, given the chance to read a new plot and potential start of another series for Erik Schubach - I couldn't resist. For a short story, he provided a story that could stand on its own that had a supernatural mystery plot. Supernatural character introduced and the story slowly reveals the context and constraints of the characters while providing an opening for a possible romantic connection and future plots. Sorry if my review is a bit vague - trying not to reveal too much of the specific plot. I enjoy Erik's writing in general and most of his series though not all. I enjoyed the premise of this story and would definitely be interested in a series being developed from it. The four star rating is because it's a short story so while could stand on it's own, felt like it could be developed into much longer more in depth stories that I prefer as it left the feeling like it was an introduction of a longer plot line versus a total stand alone - hence my comment about it becoming a series.
I read Scythe by Erik Schubach and I liked the book but my taste has changed and I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have a few years ago. Everything about the book was well done and I'd recommend it friends, it just wasn't my taste.
