Now retired from the police department, Jocelyn has opened her own private investigation office.
Former homicide detective Augustus Knox retired with one cold case still on the books. Now that he has only months to live, he wants Jocelyn to solve the case. Sydney Adams was only 17 when she was ruthlessly gunned down during an evening run.
With nothing to go on except Knox's idea of who the killer was, she has a plan to lure the killer out into the open. But plans always have a way of backfiring ......
This is a well-written crime thriller. The story premise is a good one, even though at one point it became a little predictable. The characters are terrific. Everyone from Jocelyn, who truly has anger management issues, to her hunky boyfriend, to her one-time police partner to Anita, her friend and manager, to Knox, a man who turned to alcohol and lost his family in the midst of his unsolved case, all lend so much credibility to the story.
I would love to see more of Jocelyn and her 'team'.
