There are a great many really good jokes in this collection. Quite a few of them could very easily be worked into a number of different types of speeches, lectures or presentations. My only problem is that many of these jokes are not really politically incorrect, which was THE reason I purchased it. Then there are more than a few which were neither politically incorrect or jokes. This book could have been trimmed by about 30% and maybe sold for a few cents less and been a better product. As is the case with the vast majority of joke books I've purchased, there seemed to be a need for filler to make it a respectable length. I'd rather have less book, even if the price stayed the same. That being said, there was more than enough humor to make it worth the cost, especially for teachers, preachers and other public speakers, all of it rated G, which was another factor in its favor. Its few flaws certainly wouldn't prevent me from recommending it.
Let's be clear, right off the bat, that "Dr." Allen Unruh is not a real doctor- he is a chiropractor and pesudoscientific. Some of the jokes were good. He had a section on religion that was very condescending and disappointing, as intelligent physicians should not believe in god. Maybe I would rate this higher if this section were omitted, but it is in the book and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Buy the book if you want to enjoy minor humor, much of which misses the mark. But it honestly was not worth the money.
I enjoyed the many quips and sometime profound messages, along with some laugh out loud statements. In this day and age of little to laugh about, Politically Incorrect Humor was a breath of fresh air. I also gave this book as a gift, and I was told it was a very good choice.
