Death Deserved is the perfect read. L.J. Sellers always offers great characters, dramatic stories with plenty of twists and a satisfying resolution. For those who've been following the series, big changes for Detective Jackson at the end...
I like you have a family atmosphere with the characters that work together and that this book continues with their lives. I enjoy the mysteries and the inter workings of how the plot is fleshed out. You learn about the characters in the actual crime and their life too. Just love this series and how learning more about their lives each time a new book comes out and what is going on in and outside of their heads. Don't start a personal story line and just drop it but instead you learn more and really feel a part of their choices with the why they are the way they are or why they are doing what they are.
I enjoy the Detective Jackson books and have read all of them. So, was excited when this new one was coming out. L.J. Sellers does not disappoint. Even though the characters have circumstances which carry over from previous books, the writing fills in the background with enough information for a new reader to pick up the book and not be lost. The story has a lot of moving parts and though not all things are connected, all things keep the story moving along which kept me trying to figure out which things were connected, which were not, and how was all of this going to come out? In the end, Sellers or rather Detective Jackson and his team wrap everything leaving no loose ends. It's a fun read and I highly recommend this book.
I loved this book. I have enjoyed all the Jackson books as they are always full of twists, as well as the family affairs and trying for a "normal" life. This book takes all of those plots and twists them together. Very good read and I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys crime novels. Ms. Sellers knowledge of the area that it is set in also adds to the enjoyment.
I enjoy the Detective Jackson series. Always an interesting twist at the end that ties together the simultaneous cases. Of course, that stretches the boundary of credibility, but darn they are fun books. Looks like big changes in store for the next installment.
I have read all of the Detective Jackson books and I love them. This one was no different, but the ending made me stop short. Please don't leave us hanging on this. I need to know things will be okay, I hope.
Another great Jackson book by my personal top 20 mystery writer. Set in Eugene its fun to know where the characters go throughout the book. Author certainly moves the book along so if you've read any of the previous books you won't be disappointed.
