5.0 out of 5 starsJessie Delacroix and the Sanctum of Shadows....

This was a great second book of the series. Jessie is starting to realize she is something else. Her Inn is coming along very well and again she is involved in another murder mystery. The plot is very flowing, the characters are very developed and if you don't let life get in the way, you can read it in one day. I am now reading the third book, I am sure it is going to be great. The second book deals with going back in the past and fighting pirates and closing portals and meeting relatives from the past....and possibly from the future.....
I really enjoy this series. The plots are novel and compelling. The character development is equally novel, and nicely consistent. But this whole series sure needs editing - SO many typos/reversals of words.
Constance. Barker does not disappoint. In this. (Sanctum of Shadows, sequel to A Sinister Slice of Murder ) all the characters are back in a delightfully mix of mayhem and murder. Sequels often are a let-down, but not this one. I look forward to the 3rd in this enchanting series. Thanks again to the author for an enjoyable afternoon of reading. MW
Do not suspend your imagination - you are going to need every little bit you can dredge up. Fantastic leaps through past, present & future. I must admit I got lost quite a few times thinking "now who is this again?" But, a very enjoyable yarn, sit back and enjoy.
Enjoying this series and looking forward to the next book! Need to read the first book to make the story easier to understand who is who. The story line is easy to follow and keeps you looking forward to the next page.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the further adventures of Jessie, her dog Arthur and her ghostly Mom and Granny. Their adventures tires in the Sanctum of Shadows were intense and adventurous. Another cantputdownable must read.

Really liked the book and it kept me guessing. The characters are a blast and I am patiently (not) waiting for the next one. I like to escape and give my mind a rest from everyday things and this book did that for me.
