Well written and a page turner from page one. It has everything I enjoy, intrigue, spies, traitors, revenge, lots of action and love.Of course I have to mention sex, steamy and well done. Abby Williams an investigative reporter who agrees to help the Falcon Security Agency free one it's operatives from the infamous Lubyanka Prison in Moscow. She is able to free him easily enough impersonating a Russian police agent. But holy spy caper, their troubles have just begun. Not only is Tony Archuletta a lover from her past but he has lost his memory due to a drug administered by the Russians to get him to talk. Wait that's not bad enough. When he was taken by the Russians he was on a very sensitive mission for Falcon and he is possibly the only agent who can pull it off. Abby for her part still loves Tony and she is drawn by default into all of the intrigue. Their adventure will take them from Russia to the Middle East being pursued by bad guys all the way. As if that is not enough Tony has to regain his memory so that he can complete his mission and keep them safe. Also adding to the fun is the two reestablishing their relationship while on the run for their lives. The story moves from events occurring in Washington,Texas,Russia and the Middle East all of which will have an impact on whether Tony can complete the mission and get himself and Abby home alive. The author moved between the various locations seamlessly and this added to the suspense. I was kept enthralled to the very last page. Read this book if you like the spy genre. I'm looking forward to reading more about the Falcon Agency.
I loved this book! It was the first book I've read by Geri Foster. It jumped around a bit dealing with the different characters, but in a good way. Sometimes, authors use too many characters when doing that, and it becomes hard to follow. In this book, it made me want to read more so I could find out what was happening next with each character. I loved Tony's character, and willed him to get his memory back. He was full of surprises. I also loved Abby's character, her tenacity and loyalty. Out of the Night left me with a bit of mystery - not enough to be frustrated, just enough to make me want to read another book (hopefully the next in the series). The only negative thing I felt were the love scenes (not a big focus of the book). They were okay. Some people may find them steamy...they just didn't do it for me. Other than that, and the editing errors (which seem to be very common with books purchased thru Book Bub - maybe because they are cheap?), I absolutely loved it.
This is the first time I've read anything by Geri Foster and let me say that I am HOOKED! Out of the Night is the third book in the Falcon Securities Series, but can easily be read as a stand alone novel. Action packed from the first page, it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next! The main characters, Tony and Abby, have you rooting for them from the beginning, wondering if they will complete their mission and if Tony will regain his memory. While there are several sub plots throughout the novel, they flow together seamlessly and are easy to follow. If you love action packed romance, suspense, mystery, and intrigue you will love this novel!!
If you like 007 books, you’ll enjoy this story. It opens with a Russian jailbreak that has you holding your breath until it wraps up in Damascus. The references are current and feel very real. The fact that the hero Tony has amnesia adds to the tension. Abby, the gutsy girl, who breaks him out of jail, used to love him, so what happened? They may have fried his mind but they haven’t fried his heart. The two race and tumble from bad situation to worse while they become reacquainted, making it hard to put this book down. Laughed out loud a couple of times at the unusual ploys Tony uses to outwit the bad guys. Foster does a good job at bringing interesting minor characters into the story without confusing the reader. We all want a Bea in our corner! Want to read more about the Falcons.
Out of the Night is a page turner! Every single chapter is action packed. The details of Russia are incredible. The action scenes and dialogue are riveting.
I was rooting for this couple the whole time. Most authors would hold back when it comes to seeing pain inflicted upon the hero/heroine, but not this author! So expect it to be realistically intense.
My heart ached to see the couple struggle and even worse to see Tony trying so desperately to gain his memory.
The author holds nothing back and keeps the action flowing at warp speed. Be prepared to sink in the sofa and be glued to the pages, you can't stop reading this one, once you start, it's a fantastic read!
I'm eagerly anticipating future works from this author.
WOW, what a ride! This was a really good story with non stop action and suspense, twists and turns right up to the very end and a nice little romance along the way. But again there were too many characters and many editing errors.
This was a good book. The main characters really kept going. Had a great plot to it and the main characters seemed to kick butt at all cost. The only bad thing was how many breaks to the other characters in the book. Really wanted to scream a few times because I wanted to know what was happening with Tony and Abby. All in all it was a great book.
